Rampy-Mik-Ramperson.

So I love ramping so much I had to have more of it. I have a D4 and ordered a D1, also got my Q8 yesterday and haven’t put it down yet.

I got a K2 from amazon awhile back that runs a 26650 and an E switch, time to change it up.
Picked up an S42 from a BLF’r a few weeks ago and cannot stand the UI, time to change it up.

So here we are. S42 first.

Removed the guts and did not even try to deal with the USB charging, maybe some other day. I had a 17mm driver and needed to up-size it so I went with some bare copper wire, worked great!

Used an E switch from Richard sanded down to fit. Switch ring wont go down all the way because the switch is twice as thick as the original, I may go back to the factory switch but I do not like how far the rubber sticks up. I will update when i figure something out.

A little comparison to some other lights. Yeah I know, I’m bragging with the Q8 back there, do you blame me?

The K2 was started a couple weeks ago but put on pause because I thought I got a bad driver from Richard, turns out BOTH led’s I was using were bad, what an idiot. Well I got back at it and now im on the hunt for a good LED, any recommendations?

So I have tried and failed, I cant figure out how to set the step down from turbo? I’ve tried the ten taps and hold and got nothing.

From off, click 10x and hold. The light will flash a few times, then pause then flash a few more times. Continue holding the button down. Eventually it will turn on to max power. Keep holding. When the light becomes hot enough for you, release the button. It will flash a few more times. The temp sensor should now be set.

Thank you, I JUST figured it out! now I’m in business.

Hmmm I see ramping rampage going on here

So u got the driver from Richard? I don’t own any ramping driver but I want to upgrade my s41.

I did get the drivers from Richard, they require an electronic switch to work correctly, I don’t think an S41 would work. Go get an Emisar D4 and get ready to live!!! one of my favorite lights.

Update- Using factory switch on the S42. Also did some testing and its pulling 10.5 amps!
