This iJoy 21700 40A  3750mAh was recently reviewed by Mooch. At just a bit below the capacity of an NCR20700B and up to 24A continuous, great cell.
Cheers

Ok, I have just used some more money.
My queue is fairly long, this means it might be some time before I test this cell.
How about the PKcell 14500?
Seems to be more than 800 mAh and lower Ri than good old Sanyo.
You reviewed the BTY NiMH cells a few years ago as junk.
Have they or any of the other cheap NiMH sources produced anything worth buying?
They’re still really big on eBay, no surprise.

HKJ: Agro:HKJ, could you test PKCELL 10440 and 14500?
There’s a report which says they are good.I have ordered the 14500, I will wait a bit with the 10440.
Yes, but I wonder where that cell is, I do not remember receiving it.
I’m also curious about the 9v rechargeable that Barkutl posted above

I see the company has smoke detector instructions linked to that page.
A longer-lasting rechargeable cell for those would be handy.

It says primary battery, it is not a rechargeable battery!
I will ask Allmaybe about them, but there is shipping restriction on lithium batteries.

They where in my inbox, where I put everything I do not have time to look at when I receive it. I will start a test on them later today.
So, PKCell 14500 is already in the review queue…
How about the PKCell 18350 (IMR and ICR)?
14500 LiIon with 1.5V output. Is it just buck with stable 1.5 volts throughout the discharge?

They say 1.6 Ah and 2.4 Wh, so probably yes.
Saw the PKCELL ICR14500 review very recently, and remembered about the NICJOY cells (back in May!).
Did The Kraken sunk the slow boat they were shipped on? :-D
Cheers

Fairly cheap and esteemed but, how good do they really are?

Test data have been ready for some time and they are in my internal lottery about what cell to publish next.

I am fairly low on 1.5V cells to test and have ordered them.
The NICJOY ICR14500 is probably the cell which would grab more attention here, its price is quite attractive.
As always, thanks Henrik.
Cheers :-)

I know HKJ will review them but I have bought them 3 years ago. (around 30 of aa and aaa) Some of them are still active while some of them died. Capacity seems nothing special comparing to quality alkaline 1.5V batteries that seems to last a lot longer …
Only advantage of those is that they are rcr imho so they save $.
Looking forward for review.
Sorry luminarium iaculator but, seriously? Those cells I pointed out are low self discharge NiMHs, alkalines can only do better under low drain applications.
Checked out the EBL AA 2300mAh NiMH review recently, top notch cells at an excellent price!
P.S.: pissed off right now, my smartphone screen becomes unresponsive or erratically unresponsive while plugged to a 5V 2A power supply which until now worked nicely. Very recently I used it to feed a DC-DC buck driver and I may have overloaded it, current at the emitter went up to ≈3.4A, @#$%!

A decent protected cell with high drain would certainly interest me to buy now that I have received my Q8

Keeppower has send me a pile of cells to review, but it will be a few months before I get to them, except the 18350, they will be published much sooner.
