I just got a refund for a Nitecore TIP that has not arrived after more than 90 days, I also got through a lot of standard responses asking for my address (which could they have, it’s in my account, and I have marked items as arrived before), to check with local post office (never helps, but I do anyways), and then offering reshipping (another 90 days? no, thanks), then offering store credit and then finally offering original payment refund (paypal in this case), which I took. I have had itens not arrive before from other store, usually after the 90 day mark it means it’s lost for good. I can’t say I’m not satisfied with the end result as I got my refund, but I found Gearbest’s handling a lot lacking. They have my address, the tracking number, the date of purchase, and my complaint, they could at least offer to reship, refund and give store credit in the same message instead of delaying. In this aspect, my refunds from aliexpress had always run smoother.

That said, I think this has a lot more to do with shipping method than anything else, most of the items I had lot in transit from GB and AE where using less know shipping methods that could only be tracked in some obscure site (the ones neither cainiao nor 17tracks not muambator would recognize)

I asked about some of them about their normal way in communication with our Gerabest customers in refund or replacement.

They said, different prople prefer different ways of refund, some would like points, some prefer giftcard, some ask for replacement, or so.

They hold the view: Customers have no time to read about some terms and conditions, so we simplify all possible ways we can help, so we list solution 1, 2 or 3…

Dear all, after you read about terms and conditions, you can copy some as evidence, and send to the service center staff and say, I prefer the way, I decide.

Then they can catch the focus, and follow your way.

In conclusion, Dear, sorry for our complex preocedure about service terms and conditions.

Hope you can read the terms and conditions before you open a ticket, and you can ask for the way you prefer, they shall follow your choice.

If you are not busy, then you can follow Gearbest service center, step by step, they are ready to help you, always.

Update to my case: Gearbest representative here did exactly what promised and got my Paypal account refunded after weekend. Thank you for that

Just a lasted few orders, it had shown that during the packed-dispatched and shipped process spent around 1 week, some orders spent around 10.

Some orders i can not wait so i asked for the refund. Compare with BG or Ali they just shipped not more than 3 days after the full payment some orders just 1 day after.

And GB tracking number that prepared sometime can not work even if they sent via Kerry Express. BG and Ali almost sent via Post service some orders just wait for 10-15 days.

I think if GB can improve the process/decrease time form the store to the shipping carrier it will be good. But i understand that some time they have to collect for the numbers.

Not that GB is messing with my nerves, but I have a question…for Gearbest
I ordered a Nitecore TIP that is “pre-advised” since 9/15, 10 days ago.
On GB website and App does not appear any other tracking information, and on PostNL I find exactly the same information.
Is it possible that it hasn’t been shipped yet?!

I ordered other things some days before the 9/15 and I can track them, not through GB site ( :person_facepalming: ) but through the post companies, and they’re on their way to me. But the TIP…doesn’t seem to move !

I appreciate any info on this! And I’ll understand if it is delayed, I just don’t want it to be forgotten in some wharehouse :wink:

What does “Pre-Advised” mean? BTW, I’m still waiting for a response for my missing spare Skilhunt H03 O-rings

I guess it means that GB will send it from their wharehouse to a post company, and the “pre-advised” means that it will be tracked when that post company receives the package and makes its distribution. The pre-advised seems like a “now it is possible that you can’t track it, but the post company is already advised that they will make that order’s distribution”!!!

Ex: I have a Opus charger that on GB website is only marked as “pre-advised”, but it was already shipped to a post company related to Correos Line (Spain). Right now I now it is in the United Kingdom, then it will come to Spain, and then to Portugal.

Urg. I got one order that was apparently hung up in customs for a while, then the last status message I got said it was delivered. ?!?

Yesterday, the 24th, was a Sunday. Ain’t nothing being delivered on a Sunday!

I’m going to wait ’til tomorrow, then bring the printouts to the local Post Orifice and see what’s going on. Maybe it was delivered to them but not out for delivery to me.

Around here, packages get delivered on Sundays, but mail doesn't.

Today I have a “Item in delivery”, from GB, but that is not in delivery to me but to the local post company. In the App “17track” it says “item in delivery”, but in Bpost International website (and in GB site) is says “your shipment has been delivered to the postal operator of the country of destination and will be delivered in the coming days”.

You can look at this in a few ways.

This has NOTHING to do with expediency, it has to do with a bit of deception!

Last June-Flash sale-SONY VTC6-4/$20. A few days after I ordered them I said to myself,hmmm VTC6, $5 EACH? Seems to good to be true,UNLESS they are OLD STOCK! 12 Days later I got them and I was right.

BOD=6.22.2016. I received them 6.26.2017! A year OLD!

I suggested they should let their customers know that they are selling OLD STOCK for a flash sale or just in general.

They offered $5 refund. I said that is NOT acceptable,how about $10. They obliged.

I got VTC6 OLD STOCK FOR $2.50 each. That is not a bad deal, it is also NOT what I thought I was getting.

Oviously the average Joe would not have known and gone through the effort I did to get some kind of refund.

Positive: They reimbursed me

Negative: Was deceptive in selling OLD STOCK

Doubtful I would order again,because I would not know what I was getting.

No lie I just Got $130 worth of FREE food and another product! Dog food did not have a Velcro seal or Zip lock and expired in 5 months!

Gave me that bag FREE and replaced with another one, PLUS gave me money back for first bag and then gave me a FREE AIR TIGHT container for my Dog food!
