Beam shot of the MF-01 (Nichia version). Love the tint.

Thanks for sharing Bruno28. One question, how come it doesn’t capture its SS bezel temperature?

You’re welcome.

Metal surfaces that are shiny can’t get the proper thermal reading. Infra red is reflected from other objects around and then the camera captures this.
The same happens with glass and mirrors.

As some have pointed out, the best way to get accurate reading on shinny surfaces is to use a black electrical tape, so the heat from the source will heat the tape and be able to read the temperature correctly.
The red hot areas on the bezel is actually a reflection of myself.

With some additional fins I think still compact enough.

Maybe they could extend the height of the head by adding one more fin. That should add about 6mm which could be added to the shelf thickness. The extra mass would help reduce led temps, at least for a while.

Please put me on the second list for a Nichia. Thanks.

Hi.
My 219C arrived today.
Works as promised, no problems.
Very nice light.
Thanks freeme

i might do spring bypass.

Ceiling bounce test shows 30% more Lux compared to my MT03 hmmm looking good both using freshly charged 30Q.

Well, it’s 9k to 12k. 30% sounds about right. Were you just confirming this for our sake?

not sure what you are getting at, is there something wrong with sharing my own finding here?
MT03 is known not making true 9K lumens, i am just giving a reference here as to how bright the light is. I think the MF01 Nichia is not making 11K lumens from the figure i got. I does look brighter to the eyes though.

btw. Did the test again now i only get only 15% (650 vs 750 Lux) with slightly used batteries (4.09v) Currently charging the battery to see if my initial reading was an error or the full battery did gave higher result

You just seemed to say something random. I was confused.

The MF01 nichia version is only about 7,000. Way less than the xp-g3 version.

I thought the MT03 really did 9k lumen.

sorry if the posts seems random and confusing.

i think the MF01 nichia is making more than 7000 Lumens but i have no way of measuring the exact figure myself it looks brighter than my MT03 and the Lux support this.

If I’m not mistaken, there is only one person reporting about 7000 lumens for the Nichia version. So I hope rizky’s measurement is more representative.

I did the ceiling bounce again MT03(650Lux) and MF01(808Lux) both on freshly charged 30Q so 25% difference compared to MT03. If my MT03 is making 8000L the MF01 in theory should be making 10K Lumens. Now if my MT03 is making true 9K lumens then the MF01 Nichia is making 11250Lumens the later seems more comparable to the given specs. But the lumens is droping rapidly on MF01 and can be as low as 15% gain over the MT03 in the first minutes or two.

this is not true, the springs on the review light are from bronze alloy and are fully compressed with brass button soldered to unprotected cells
so the windings short each other, no need for a bypass

on the production light the spacing is larger in the carrier so it fits as well high drain cells with PCB like Klarus and some other brands have
if you use unprotected cells in the production light a spring bypass should gain a little longer runtime as well as turbo longer availiable

if its done right nothing to loose by a proper spring bypass

This is post claiming around 7425 lumens
This post have beamshot

From the beamshot and my MF-01 Nichia, I have feeling should be more than 7k, sorry can’t provide exact number for this.

I’ve only had a chance to try it out once, but to my eyes, my MF-01 Nichia has to be putting out at least 10k lumens at startup (maybe more). It’s plenty bright, although it is a little warmer than I expected for some reason. Overall, it’s a very nice light.

Yeah, that’s the post I remember. It’s the only actual number I remember hearing about. So you guys are thinking the Nichia version is doing closer to 10k or 11k?

No one knows if his light is working properly or how accurately his light meter reads neutral white lights.

I just received my nichia light and have only used it a little with protected cells. Compared to my 4000+ lumen mountain bike setup and my MT07 there’s no way its only making 7000 lumens. Judging by how slowly it’s heating up in turbo switching to good unprotected cells will bump up the output even more.

My light’s completely awesome, smaller and brighter than I was expecting.

Hello. Please code for mf01 xp-g3

Just for fun this is another Ceiling bounce test that i made.

Convoy L6 running Narsil drawing 10.5A at the Tail : 421 Lux
Astrolux MF01 : 808 Lux
Haikelite MT03: 650Lux

Not sure how many Lumens OTF on the L6 maybe 5000? if its true then my Haikelite MT03 is making 7700L and my MF01 is making 9600Lumens.
