OT: So far this has been a quite funny thread but I have to admit now that after getting a call and hearing the package containing either 16340 or 18650 (I had both coming from HK) batteries has been self-inflammated in the local airport I'm not just laughing at the ...fire naming scheme.

More info to come if somebody here is interested...

Yes please.

I am!

^ OK. Although I'm not planning to drive 2hrs in order to see the ruined envelope by myself I got a picture that I'm going to forward to the seller together with my claim.

Some details have been removed because I suppose this may happen anywhere and to anyone... All I can say I ordered several protected ...fire batteries (of which there are either 2x18650 or 6x16340 in this envelope).

damn

It was offline while I was adding the watermark text ...

I wonder what was the cause of the venting with flames. 1st suspect overheating or excessive humidity that made the batteries overdischarge and begin the chemical process when shorted by an adjacent battery if everthing was poorly packaged or perhaps they shorted themselves (if 6pcs) in a very unlikely way during trasit when something heavy squished them.

What brand and model were those batteries? I suspect sometingFire as it is pretty spot on. (sorry, could not resist)

I wonder what was the damage to adjacent packages. Looking at the photos i get shivers of the possibility that this envelope might have burned an entire warhouse or storage down easily.

Wow.

Those were AutoFires.

I ordered protected Trustfire Flames but you'll newer know what's inside the envelope... I'm not going to ask the postal carriers security officer to check that so I'll perhaps just give permission to destroy the batteries.

Or Cargofire.

SureFire sell a Hellfire light - at about as much money as I earn in 4 months.

Before taxes.

Once slept through the consequences of the neighbours using a SettingTheRoofOnFire light.

Otherwise known as lighting a fire without due care and attention.

Fortunately the neighbours lived more than 200m from my house.

I would really like this one:

OMG, so many funny names, let me try:

MILFire - no translation needed, just go get that hot mom next door :D

GayFire - chinese translation would be "Youre so happy and gay that it finally worked!"

ClitFire - engrish for ClickFire?

FFFFFFFFFFFFfire. (I'd had a few of those but tightening the pill or tailswitch usually sorts it.)
