This is the basic unit (I think). Anyway, it looks the same. I bought one with a belt that is sized for a very tiny child. Note to self: don’t assume anything; read everything.
I received my 30Q batteries… Now I need some lights!
BTW if you order batteries, make sure if they offer the cases… I got 20 individual boxed/bagged/ AND shrink wrapped batteries… I had to cut each one free…
16 more tomorrow…
OK, my trigger finger is suffering from stuttering input syndrome 1/0, +/, yay/nay, sure/un, fun/food
I’ve had my 2nd Q8 in and out of my BG cart ever since I learned my code for 1 that I signed up for was honored for a 2nd
I got my 1st delivered in the 1st batch and didn’t feel right about taking another spot from someone
Butt now that it’s kinda woolly/bully…putup/shutup time, I thought I’d rather support the home team and pulled the trigger
Thank God I can pick my nose again without fear of “PayPal Order Reflex”
Definitely. Production runs, especially on budget items, will have a different pace of assembly, and often parts will be substituted that may not be of equal quality. I don’t judge that by itself. Mainstream brands and huge companies do that too, and sometimes fail.
I don’t mind if my Q8s turn out somehow unfinished. Budget lights I buy will go through a fine tuning process anyway.
Sorry guys for a dumb question are we still taking orders for the Q8 been out of the loop for a few months in and out of the hospital so did not have time to read all the new posts yet. How where to place order and how much for it. Never saw a final price. Forgive me for not having the energy to read through all the posts I will get around to in the next few weeks.
If you signed up, should have gotten a pm with a code. The Q8 is $40 shipped US, and I think it's still taking orders but supposed to expire today I think, so hurry!!
Would like to say I ordered my two about 2050 central standard time on Sept. 7th. I haven’t received either one yet and I don’t mind
one tiny little bit. I would much rather get mine in good working order than to get them right away and have them not be right. Does anyone know if rosin core solder can be used to solder blob batteries? That’s the only kind I have right now.
Mine will be waiting for me when I get home from work.
To be truly honest, I don’t even care if it has switch problems, because I know The Miller will sort out the guys that have faulty units. If I could have known this ahead of time I’d have just ordered later and got one from the later (delayed) batch that are guaranteed to not have any switch / screw problems.
Oh well I was on the list I thought but have no pm or e-mail so I missed out again every time I end up in the hospital for a few weeks I always miss something. They should have just let me expire it would have made me happier than missing this.
Doing some cooking Joey??
You got your batteries all charged up in anticipation of Q8 arrival?
Sux you had to wait my friend… but it will be worth it.
Plus, you won’t have to deal with any of the minor first 500 issues.
The Q8 design / technical team knocked it out of the park.
Chin up… What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, as well as more resolute.
