FandyFire HD2010, looks like will be 26650 compatible

Thanks all of you for your information and Pics.

I ordered from DX but for many days It's still "Backorder" so I canceled

Ultrafire has now also a HD2010: HERE ;)

Cool! Anyone know anything about Easylightbuy.com? I also found this Ultrafire version at shenzhen-wholesale.com. Think I will stick with the Fandyfire version.

EDIT:

could not insert thumbnails, so here's the link to the gallery

and just a few close-up pics:

With the sony LI-Mn 26650 works great, more then 6 amps maximum. I have to check, if this is healthy for the flashlight... maybe I get a better driver. It seems to be DD on full power. There are three minor scratches, two of them are hard to see.

with a fresh sony 26650, I have measured about 6,6 amps, I think in real life with tailcap it draws less amps (resistance of switch, spring etc). I will see if I get an other driver.

With a half full battery, after 25 mins. tailstand the flashlight didn't got very hot (about 30 deg. C). the battery doesn't get very warm like that.

the 26650 has a capacity of about 2600 mah (last charge with 1,8a). at about 2,8v, it gets darker, and at about 2,74v it switched off. so for a Li-Mn, that's safe (min. 2,5v). But this is just a first look, will have to test more.

So is the 3x XML light from beamtech any good? $50 shipped seems like a decent price. I am looking to get my first multi-led light. Its hard to tell in this thread which light is being talked about in which post sometimes. I don't think 1 X 18650 could really power a 3 x XML light could it?

Probably not, but with a 26650 it might.

sorry, but could somebody tell me how to insert pics from a host like upload? thanks florian

Click on the little tree box next to the anchor, and paste your image url into the first line.

ok thanks, added pics.

btw, I am really happy with it, it has a good size, and the overall-quality seems ok so far.

Now i have my own brand HD2010:

Does anyone know the dimensions of the reflector and the lens? It might be good host for a 66mm aspheric lens.

haha nice move!

Looks like it's not available anymore at Tmart.

Can anyone post some recent links to HD2010?

This is what I see, both at $35:

Is there any difference between the two? Are both direct drive on high?

Viktor

The Fandyfire HD2010 from DX ist DD.

The Ultrafire HD2010 i don´t know. ;)

I have the UF HD2010 incoming form easylightbuy. I'll update this thread when it arrives. I was looking at 2x26650 and the new Sky Ray king 4x18650... and they just seemed too big for me to pack-carry. This light will be replacing my 2D MAG ROP incan builds (Fun DIY builds, but theyre just too big and heavy). So we'll see how this goes 8^)

$35 shipped is the best price I could find, for a light with this feature-set. I kind of prefer the gun-metal gray too.

I finally received mine from DX and I have to say I am still impressed by this 26650 light. It has a very wide and deep reflector which throws very well. I like it better than my XM-L DBS. Quality wise it's a little rough especially finish wise, but I don't care since I paid only $35 for it and it does what it's supposed to. Here's a quick and dirty video I took of it indoors cycling through the 5 modes. I'll try to do an outdoor video later. http://www.youtube.com/embed/VfWhDHZbPfI

Ordered. Easylightbuy has some darn good prices!

Yell Love the26650.

I am very glad to see all moving to the 26650!

Charger save your $'s no need if you have a 18650 charger.

So you can use an 18650 charger for 26650s?
