Okay, so the xp-g3 MF01 is a more cool white. This sounds pretty good to me. I was afraid the xp-g3 was gonna be yellow and green tinted like my dqg. Now I may consider getting one. Hmmm.

There has been 3 or 4 people report the same battery voltages. Only 3 of your cells are making contact. You need to check that none of the white discs are too high for your batteries.

Also this:

The problem found, had to measure around the board, one of the two brass contacts (+) had come loose.
Had to find out my old solder bolt and put some heat on the brass contact surface and got it fasten for contact again.
The problem was then resolved. made a “dry run” and checked that the batteries were equally discharged and everything was ok.
Thanks for the pointing out JasonWW and L4M4. <span class=“high. to were “discs” white the of None BTW:”>

Glad you found the problem.

I hope this carrier issue gets fixed on the next batch of lights. It could lead to a dangerous situation.

Freemee, I thought I asked to put on the second list (missed out on the GB, too slow), but don’t see my name.

Just one torch, now that I know code will work for Nichia or Cree. It will be Nichia provided same LEDs will be used. I am happy with small price increase for some improvements. Will the tube be knurled and match the MF02, I would prefer that ?

By the way. is the MF02 delayed, last time I looked you didn’t have a date ?

Thanks.

Hi I’m a noob to flashlight world… and I am looking into this MF01 light, and I don’t know if I want XP-G3 or Nichia…
Can someone give me their opinion on each light? All I know XP-G3 gives more lumens output.
And is the 30Q battery the best choice for this light? (I’m also looking for sony VTC6 but they’re hard to find)

The Nichia one will give an even consistently white beam with great color rendering (reds will be deep and saturated) while the XP-G3 will be all over the place with a pale and sickly greenish look to it (at least on some parts of the beam). In my opinion the output difference is not big enough to justify the XP-G3.

Here are Beamshots of both flashlights from Bluzie (TLF)
Nichia
XP-G3

They did acknowledge the carrier issue when I asked them. They are currently working on it as well.

  1. You name is in the list, you will see it if you scroll down the table. Note: there a few pages for the table. You could either use the search function located at top right corner or click through various pages with the link located at the bottom of the table.
  2. As for knurling design, i have to ask them if they will update them for second batch. 50/50 chance.
  3. For MF-02 enquires, please refer for my post at https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/47238.

Will new carriers be available separate (at a reduced price) for us with lights from the first batch?

Will get back to you on this. I have already may a note for it.

Ohhh thank you! I think I like that Nichia better!

After reading all 47 pages I’ll have to agree with you. Nichia does look a lot better despite the lesser output. The photo from Aussi above showed exactly what you were referring to. And the Nichia isn’t that far behind interma of light output (in picture). The camera might be able to pick up the difference but I think to our eyes will be the same… blinding lol.

I’ve also heard that Nichia in turbo mode will produce slightly more heat than the XP-G3, and I know someone posted about it few pages ago… but I can’t find it anymore lol.

Welcome to BLF!
Are you sure you want with this one?
It gets hot fast, has cells in series and the actual longer usable brightness is matched by lights that are cheaper and don’t get so hot.
I do like how that carrier is made though, but the massive output just makes it too hot too fast and it misses a real moon (with a moon one can look at the LEDs, I like that but low on the MF01 is too high for that).

I am using it with 30Q BT cells.

So idk what you are used to but a nice clear C8 NW Biscotti packs a nice punch and seems more practical and safe to begin with
(Read up on li ion safety see link in my SIG)

Hello!
I am actually looking into several lights and I found a very great deal on Haikelite MT03 and I already pulled the trigger on it lol
10LM,150LM,1000LM is a usable and good light spacing for me, and get to kill zombies with 9000s so that one I got (But haven’t arrived yet…)

At first I was looking at Imalent lights but the one I interested in had bad lighting spacing (from too low to too high) so I scratched that off the list.

Another I very considering is the Klarus G20… 3000 lumens max (Or so they claimed) Rechargeable and comes with battery ready to play. Also found a very good price just under $65 new…

Reason I want this MF01 is because of that high lumens output with under $100… I know it won’t be able to run in turbo for very long but I still want it for no real reasons…… but bright lol

Hi yuhsin,

I prefer the Haikelite SC02. The SC02 has a much nicer lightcolour as Klarus G20 and a better heatmanagement !

To be honest I do not know how long “my fix” will last on the carrier. The entire brass button assembly seems terribly weak and if you change batteries often without checking if there is full contact on the board, it may loosen without you knowing it (not everybody have a DMM) and then you are “buring” batteries. The whole soldering process reminds me of my black and white TV that I had in the late 70’s. You just looked at it, and the wires came loose. (Cold soldering.)

(So yes freeme, if the first batch buyers can get hand on an upgraded carrier I will feel much happier both for myself and all others.)

Hope for positive respond…

I want the carrier to be sold as an Sold separately.
Also do not forget the holster

Agree…

About holster. If somebody if sitting in holster for/from NITEYE EYE30 it fits PERFECTLY. Even better than the NITECORE TM26 holster.

Thanks FreeMee, found your latest list at ENEDED - #1327 by freeme

All good (PS: just one for me, now knowing code will be good for either type).

Regards.

Wow I only just now found out about this… Sweet.

QUESTION: Anybody willing to let me borrow one of these to compare with some other lights in a video? I can pay a deposit and shipping costs both ways etc?
