They are nice & solid & thread all the way in to the tripod hole without bottoming out :+1:

And no back payment on PP… so they still have my money.
Advice?

I am guessing, heat, then quench in oil. Nice predictable process on plain steel, mixed results with SS IME but if the material is amenable, beautiful results.

Heat coloring like this works good on Stainless Steel. No quench necessary unless you are ‘heat treating’ the steel…. as in a knife blade.

As i said , colors aren’t vivid like on Titanium , but it is still really cool on some light conditions like in the pic .

On aliexpress, the magic search words appear to be “neck strap screw”. That’s how I found many listings for small variations of the nice, rounded one.
