Q8, PMS SEND TO THOSE WITH ISSUES BLF soda can light

Since I just looked this up for a friend, I’m assuming M4D M4X doesn’t mind since he posted this openly, but you can just go here:

Price is $46.50 while that offer is valid.

M4DM4X here in the forum has a new coupon, I think it’s $45

The original groupbuy is over, after 1.5 years!

Those measurements are under load, wheras the 3.4v in question wasn’t measured inside the running Q8, it was the state of charge of the cells as per the poster, so likely measured after taking them out.

Thanks, RapidLux

Ahh, ok. Anyway in HKJ's reviews to find out the "not under load" levels? These things will vary from cell to cell it seems like. I've seen discharge curves vary nearing the end.

I think it is awesome, had to do work the other day
blink blink blink lower
blink blink blink lower
blink blink blink lower
blink blink blink lower
I ramped it up a little and had light more then enough to see for the duration of the work at least half an hour
It is so good to be able to put lumens out at steady rate sometimes, I hate lights that keep on blinking and detest my Olights that just go off and won’t turn on.

My 1st Q8 is continuing it’s water theme, it’s now surveying the flood damage in Houston.

I got one Q8 that sat in LA customs for 5 days - never saw that before either, weird thing goin on. Hurricanes, fires? Earthquakes?

I had a Gearbest package go from China to LA to NY, then it took a tour of Europe and ended up in Istanbul. Then back to NY, then to me in Michigan. I wish I’d done a screen shot of the tracking. If it hadn’t been so funny, I would have been pissed. It took around 7 weeks to finally arrive.

Not yet. Last night I tried pulling out the driver but the wires that go up to the LED MCPCB were too short to allow it to come out very far, so I stopped there. Thinking I may need to Disassemble the top end of the light in order to free up enough slack to get a good look at the driver.

Dale you have to let me know how your nautical Q8 is once you manage to get it dockside.

I get it. But does not this have thermal protection? To reach 3.4v level I set max brightness and waited.
After it reached 3.4volt the surface became too hot to even touch for 1 second. But it did not throttle.

I like it this way but maybe this is harmful. So is not there any kind of protection? Like thermal or timer?

It comes set to a 3 minute default step down time.
You can configure this to a different amount of time (more or less) before it steps down or configure it to step down at a set temperature.
I think that that is correct.
I have left both of mine on the default 3 minute step down as that seems about right to me.

Welp, It has made it to the USA! Now lets see how fast it can make it to my front door on the edge of the planet.

2017-10-12 06:31 COMPTON, CA 90220,

So the Q8 can run 30min or longer in LVP?
Have we runtime graphs somewhere?

Its good to hear the glowing reports from those that have received a good light and some that have received a not so good light but still happy enough and the positive responses on Narcil as a user interface goes along way in making the project worth while to those involved in all the hard work (no I’m not one of those). It in some small way backs up what the developers and testers have also been saying about the light. Thanks guys and girls.

when i put my tracking number (lwxxxxxxxxxcn) in fedex, it says invalid.
2 letters/9 numbers/2 letters

700th-some order # (2nd batch).

First off, I wanted to say thanks for all the work involved, and I think this is a good light for the price. The main features of the driver’s customizability, ramping plus instant modes to full power are great. I’d say the biggest negative is the bright switch light which has to be covered at night, its not necessary to actually turn the light on, just uncover it to guide you around the dark house at night when you wake…

Now speaking of the switch… This thread is so huge, and I’m not sure if this has been an ongoing issue, but I am having problems with 2 of the lights I gifted. The switch apparently sunk into the light and is now almost not pressable…has anyone had this problem and/or are there solutions? You CAN press the switch by pressing harder and at an angle now, which is unreliable and makes press and hold function non workable, it seems it has just sunken into the light, I hope to get to opening it soon in hopes of looking at the assembly. Mine has not yet sunk inwards, but it makes me worried about pressing and holding it… The problem is these are gifts and I’m not the best with disassembly and repair…is it worth it to try if there is an easy solution or just write Banggood about the faulty lights?

B42, The Miller will be on this in a heartbeat. Don’t contact Banggood.
