Q8, PMS SEND TO THOSE WITH ISSUES BLF soda can light

It comes set to a 3 minute default step down time.
You can configure this to a different amount of time (more or less) before it steps down or configure it to step down at a set temperature.
I think that that is correct.
I have left both of mine on the default 3 minute step down as that seems about right to me.

Welp, It has made it to the USA! Now lets see how fast it can make it to my front door on the edge of the planet.

So the Q8 can run 30min or longer in LVP?
Have we runtime graphs somewhere?

Its good to hear the glowing reports from those that have received a good light and some that have received a not so good light but still happy enough and the positive responses on Narcil as a user interface goes along way in making the project worth while to those involved in all the hard work (no I’m not one of those). It in some small way backs up what the developers and testers have also been saying about the light. Thanks guys and girls.

when i put my tracking number (lwxxxxxxxxxcn) in fedex, it says invalid.

First off, I wanted to say thanks for all the work involved, and I think this is a good light for the price. The main features of the driver’s customizability, ramping plus instant modes to full power are great. I’d say the biggest negative is the bright switch light which has to be covered at night, its not necessary to actually turn the light on, just uncover it to guide you around the dark house at night when you wake…

Now speaking of the switch… This thread is so huge, and I’m not sure if this has been an ongoing issue, but I am having problems with 2 of the lights I gifted. The switch apparently sunk into the light and is now almost not pressable…has anyone had this problem and/or are there solutions? You CAN press the switch by pressing harder and at an angle now, which is unreliable and makes press and hold function non workable, it seems it has just sunken into the light, I hope to get to opening it soon in hopes of looking at the assembly. Mine has not yet sunk inwards, but it makes me worried about pressing and holding it… The problem is these are gifts and I’m not the best with disassembly and repair…is it worth it to try if there is an easy solution or just write Banggood about the faulty lights?

B42, The Miller will be on this in a heartbeat. Don’t contact Banggood.

Ok, I just saw what you mean. In round 2 production, they seemed to have made the LED wires shorter, but I found the switch wires seem longer so, if you have to untwist the LED wires a little. The wires are very stiff, so might take some tinkering, but I can get full access to the driver, just that it can't come out as far as it used to.

Literally the 10 or so round #1 Q8's I worked all had the same length wires, so figure this was a round 2 change.

Hm
It would really be smart to take a look under the switch cover, there is a new cover with full lenght stuff in the box.

It seems you are the second with a cover sliding off issue, the first was a simple swap with the one provided

Mine wasn’t that bad but this is how another package of mine traveled… It sat in Compton for 1-1/2 weeks before going to Georgia… I could have drove and picked it up in 1 day! It’s amazing how crazy shipping is. How do these companies stay in business with these kinds of inefficiencies!?

mine finally got on the move from la today after sitting for 2 weeks
supposed to be here next Wednesday

Well I dont currently have access to it, but I did see one of them and the cover does not appear to have moved at all. It seems the actual switch/actuator underneath the cover has partially fallen away from the external surface so that its not pressable through the cover directly, but at an angle, so now its only pressible with firmer pressure deeper inside the switch hole at an angle…the cover seems to be in place relatively normally still.

I should have access to look first hand at it soon. How do I best take the cover off to look at it when I can?

Today I also received my Q8. It´s a great light. Thanks to the team. I realised the lighting was quite weak in my room

Thank you… I appreciate that info. I am gonna nab some of those…

doganygood to hear

B42 remove the ring around the switch to get access there

I finally figured out that my 30 digit tracking number is a DHL eCommerce number, and tracking now indicates that my Q8 was “processed” this morning at the DHL eCommerce distribution facility in Compton, California. Others with a 30 digit tracking number may want to see if they can track their Q8 with DHL.
