Noctigon Meteor M43 official sales and discussion thread

Yes, this is most complicated sample schematics that is allowed for sharing and making by yourself.

The M43 code and driver schematic aren’t available, but the schematic above is similar and an older version of Indigo is available. It’s written in assembly. This may be enough info for someone motivated to fill in the gaps between what is available and what is not, but nobody has created any other firmware which can run on it.

So, nothing Narsil-like on the Meteor.

However, if you want the Meteor UI (er, UIs) on your Narsil light (Q8, GT, D4/D1/D1S, etc), that can be arranged. I implemented most of it one evening while cloning UIs for my new toolkit, and could probably finish the rest in a few hours if anyone wants it.

Interested ! Not for a particular light , but i would like to use it in some e-switch lights . So , i’m not in a hurry

G'Day BLF'ers, and Meteor M43 "addicts",

The Noctigon Meteor M43 from intl-outdoor.com is now available with Nichia 219CT 90CRI 5000K LEDs

Edit: And the Emisar D4 from intl-outdoor.com is also available with the same LEDs

Best Regards,

George

My Meteor M43 Nichia 219C saved the day! Tonight was my daughter’s Homecoming dance and she had 16 of her friends come over beforehand. It was raining out so they couldn’t take pictures outside. When they gathered in the living room to take pictures, we were trying to figure out the best location, but the lighting wasn’t right. So I ran down stairs and grabbed my M43. I did a ceiling bounce in turbo and the pictures turned out great! There were lots of pictures, so in between pictures I cooled the flashlight with my hands. At times it got very hot, but it never shut down and kept providing great light. Some of the parents were quite impressed with the flashlight. This is the first time I actually felt justified buying such an expensive, but worth every dollar, flashlight.

Great story! Should of put a fan on it to cool it

Thanks for the info - I’ve been waiting for it to reappear, even if that makes things a bit awkward … so many nice lights, so little money! Wanted to get a 2nd MF-01, an MT07S, and either an SRT9 or Fitorch MR35, and now the M43 is available again … someone please convince me that I don’t need any more flashlights! (or maybe just one, or two…) :sunglasses:

The m43 its sold out with all leds… Anyone can confirm?

Saw this too. Specs were also changed back for the Nichia 219C to 80+ CRI (from 90+ CRI). It’s probably done because they’re busy selling the D1 and D4. My guess…

Well, at least that means I can see a cyan D4 coming my way!

If I had already had a Q8 I would not have purchased an M43. Would have saved a bit of cash.

M43 matte black is back in stock again,
http://intl-outdoor.com/noctigon-418650-meteor-m43-p-864.html

The matte finish has good grip, the side effect is that the surface looks not clean, but they all new flashlights.

The Nichia 219C variant is 80+ or 90+ CRI? Thanks. :sunglasses:

The stock one is 80CRI, but you can always request the custom 90CRI one.

:+1:

I noticed on the website that the colour name is changed to “matte black” as well like in your description above. Is this the same finish and colour as half a year ago or so, or is it new and different? And if it’s different, do you have pictures as well?
What about the (new) slightly different machining around the button, is this present as well, or is the machining like the original as pictured on the website? Thanks again! :sunglasses:

Is it possible to order XP-L HI NW in M43?

There used to be an option for XP-L HI, but it had a higher price. Not sure if it’s still available by request, but if so it’ll probably cost more. The emitters cost twice as much, and there are 12 of them.

Is there still a BLF coupon for the M43?

Never was a coupon.

There was, but it was a pretty time-limited sale I guess.

Edit: And I guess maybe that was off the “non-discounted” price?
