ENEDED

Yep, that stem or plunger, whatever we want to call it. It's too thin, and you can tell it bends over easy, so if you don't apply force in the center and straight down, it doesn't engage the switch as well. I even tried adding a dab of a good epoxy to the tip of that stem, thinking it was just short, but it made little difference. Maybe lengthening it a bit would help as well.

My preference is for an easier activated switch, but some may want it stiffer to avoid accidental activation's, which is fine, but the full depressed distance to activation should be short. I got ramping UI's on some stiff switch lights - it works, but it concerns me how well it will hold up. Some are known to fail like the Manker U21, and other Manker models. They tend to fail and they also are stiffer than average.

Also the switch rubber boot is big, really big - think that's part of the issue why the stem has to be thicker. Love the easy 4 screw mount though - no scratching a ring!!

Way better!!

So I ended up ordering replacement LED's for this new MT03 II anyways  . It's hard not to get the best out there available. Bought 3 XHP70.2 P2 5700K 70+ CRI LEDs from Arrow - for under $10 each, link here: https://www.arrow.com/en/products/xhp70b-00-0000-0d0bp20e2/cree

Look at the 500+ price, wow: $6.86

Interested depending on price… (neutral white)

Is the turbo run time correct at 2.5 min?

About the white anodization. It appears to be matte on the pictures, is it matte?

It should look like matte silver in real life.

How about the feel? Is it like the desert tan S2+?

Might have to consider getting my first light in white.

My MT02 in silver/white appears to be matte/satin. You can feel a very fine rough surface compared to the standard black anodisation lights. It looks and feels very nice.

Thank you for that explanation, just what i wanted to hear :+1:

I like the way MF01 button clickie work is perfect.

i think increase in pin diameter and the length will reduce the squishy problem

Group buy has started.

Order placed

Thank you for the groupbuy!

Just curious, why this version with 70.2 LED has the same lumen as in Version 1,
Why not Haikelite increase more lumen with this 70.2 version ?

I've wondered that too... I have one on the way. It is still at least 10 days away but once it gets here I plan to check output first.

I do know it is possible they just kept the power at just the level for the same output as it would take less power with the 70.2's which means less heat.

If it’s the same constant current driver as before, then there is not gonna be any power increase.

You may get better efficiency or less heat. You may also get a smoother beam pattern with less dark spot in the middle. Plus it’s now cheaper to upgrade to a fet driver for more output because you don’t have to upgrade the 3 emitters.

Given specs is base on regular MT03II gen1.
Just curious, why this version with 70.2 LED has the same lumen as in Version 1, Why not Haikelite increase more lumen with this 70.2 version ?
