This one, paid less than 2.5âŹ
AAA twistie, one mode, crappy led of course, no waterproof for sure!
Quite unusual, the twisting is done by the tail. So you will loose it if you carry it on a keychain!
You can skip this one (even fake Hugsbyâs are better than this)

I just received this cool little single-AA COB light and it seems to be promising. $2.37 shipped.
Feels decent, reverse-clicky switch. Conventional emitter is (presumed LB or similar clone) XP-E. Tint is a decent CW. COB emitter is a bit cooler, but isnât obnoxious. Modes are High/Low/COB/COB-strobe with next-mode memory. Pocket clip is a bit weak. Heat sinking is poor, with both emitter PCBs resting on narrow shelves. Based on output and the single-AA operation, I donât think heat will be an issue.
I like it so farâŚ
Itâs just simply amazing that you can get 12000 Lumens for $2.37 these days
âNote: Please allow minor error due to manual measurement.â
No kidding! Iâm surprised they donât use this same technology to light sport stadiums!
I believe those ultra-poor âheatsinking practicesâ are to make products fail early and deliberately. Could be my reasoning wrong here? I doubt it. These flashlights are probably meant for people who isn't going to stick in anything better than alkaleaks, probably causing an early failure even sooner. I refuse to fund this sort of stuff, I believe it ends up costing more in the not so long run.
Cheers :-)
I suspect that a lot of it is so they can move these lights to sell for $2 price point, well within impulse purchase category⌠:money_mouth_face:
In this case, it works well, and is obviously not aggressively driven. Iâm happy with AA alkaleak performance and understand that to be a limitation of this light. I may, at some point, try to improve the heat transfer with some epoxy, but thatâs a very low priority.
To me, the biggest inexcusable feature is still, the next-mode-memory. Someone had to INTENTIONALLY design that. Who is the driver designer who created that and said âYO DAWG THIS IZ TEH AWESOMEZ YO!â
Add that one to the list of people to visit when we have time travel tech. :person_facepalming:
Iâm tired of kids losing $20 Blitzwolf lanterns when they go camping, and whatever flashlights
I give them. These will just have to do
Well I still have the MXDL (or something) AAA light that is used quite frequently. Those where the $1 dollar lights back in the day... And still works.
the downside is that a single AA light doesnât last them the whole camping weekend. I need to find
18650 light/cob combo for cheap.
I still got my 12000 lumens MF01 prototype officially for 0.01$ from BG, hard to beat
I bought this light on e-bay cause of impulse and the COB intrigued me as someone just picking up flashlights again for the first time in 6 or so years.
I agree next-mode-memory is the DEVIL but the person who decided STROBE should just always be an unavoidable option is the SUPER DEVIL!!!
I knew it was there from the description but I had no idea how much it would trigger rage in me as I had 0 flashlights with this option until now! Thank god I can disable strobe on my newly acquired C8 with Biscotti!!!
So heâs a good 6â taller than the Devil, rides a flying motorcycle, and carries a jar of marmalade that makes people commit adultery?
thanks for link, ordered two cause I like these little dual purpose lights. NOT BRIGHT but just handy
I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know anything about this cheap eBay light? Claims to have a, XPE-R3 and put out 250lm. One of the feedback says it takes an AA battery, description say it takes an AAA.
Youâll notice that none of the photos actually show the emitter. I doubt that light even has an LB clone. Itâs likely one of the super cheap fried egg emitters.
For .99, I might buy one to steal the pocket clip for another lightâŚ
I too noticed they do not show the led. I did order a couple of them to keep in my chicken coops. I hate leaving a good light out there.
