I would really not use any folder, pivots and locking mechanisms are not designed for such tasks. However, if you don’t mind eventually ruining a budget knife, the above mentioned G720 is a very good choice. I have one and it is solid.
But pardon my ignorance, why would you need to do that in the first place if you carry a hatchet?
I’ve done the same thing, used a knife to split kindling off of a small log. It’s just a little bit easier to place the knife and tap back of the spine to cut exactly where you want as opposed to using a hatchet which doesn’t lend itself to that same purpose very well. If you’re swinging the hatchet, it’s less accurate than placing the knife exactly where you want it. If you are trying to place the hatchet, the wide tall blade is harder to control.
Anybody knife if this type of knife lock is legal in the UK, A pin on the tongue drops into a hole on the blade pivot when it is fully closed and full open, But only requires a little pressure to disengage the lock.
