QuickCharge requires a timing-dependent handshake to activate the higher voltage/power modes, which is probably a good thing, considering that 9 or 12v could be bad for a normal USB device expecting 5v.
Looks interesting , could probably also be used to limit the voltage to 5V and disable QC on the output for higher efficiency (74.4 vs. 68.4 Wh according to the table above) when time is not critical, e.g. charging the phone outdoors overnight. But it’s an extra device to carry around and adds weight. Does anyone have a better idea? My phone has no such option, at least I couldn’t find it.

I have a small 12v fridge that runs at 2.5amp on eco mode. Although it does have a millisecond spike on start up. So unsure if two power banks would work in parallel. I know I will only get a couple hours of run time, just more of a dual use testing of the power banks.
Does anyone know a simply way to force these to run at 12v all the time? Is there a wire you can bridge in the USB cable?
Depending on what you want to do, it’s probably safer to not have it always output 12v all the time (accidentally plugging a 5v device onto a 12v output USB port will likely fry it…
(the step-up module converts the 5v to 12v (this works on any 5v USB power adapter or powerbank, even non-QuickCharge ones) but lower output current only)

12v 2.5amps = 30 watts, that seems more than most non-USB-PD power banks can supply. I wonder if a USB-PD trigger can be used to request 12v 2.5A (am not familiar with USB PD yet…) which requires a powerbank that supports Type-C PD output…
The above are just meant as temporary “quick-fixes” probably not designed for long-term use if you really need 12v @ 2.5A, better just get a real 12v power supply that can supply the current your 12v device needs…
I was interested in using QC2/3 powerbanks as a relatively cheap, readily available and safe way to power a portable Class-D amplifier off of lithium ion batteries. My plans to make a set-and-forget trigger fell by the wayside though when I realized the Blitzwolf BW-P3 I was using could deliver 3.6A @ 5V, or 18W without any QuickCharge negotiation, so I just fed that into a “low noise” (which is to say LC filter on the output) boost converter module and fed the amp off of that, no problem.
It will be interesting to see what develops with USB-PD.
Can anyone confirm that QC from Blitzwolf BW-C10 works with that power bank?
I’m asking because QC from BW-C5 I own does not work with that power bank.

Pardon the late reply, I just got the Blitzwolf BW-C10 QC3.0 car charger the other day. I can confirm that it can quick-charge the Mi 20000mAh v2 (PLM05ZM).
I only did a quick check though. USB meter reports charging at 11.6v at 1.10A when I plugged the PLM05ZM powerbank to the BW-C10’s QC3.0 port. Not sure what is the highest current at 12v that the BW-C10 supports in real-world testing, will re-test when I’ve got more time (official spec says 12v @ 1.5A).
Not to mention the specs on that supposedly wonderful thing... Charging time could be measured by the erosion of stones using 5V @ 1A About 15 hours for a full charge!
so basically the PLM05ZM is THEBEST power bank of the world at the moment…!

Maybe you could do a quick-look mini-review of this USB meter in a separate thread? Looks interesting. Just did a Google search, it looks like the CT-2 is also marketed as the KT001 (Power-Z) and the Kotomi Premium (Kotomi “Pre”).
Many new USB meters with more powerful features have just arrived the past year, though one important functionality is interfacing with a PC software and to be able to record/graph/chart data values (which the ZY1276 unfortunately does not — it only outputs raw values, but no in-house PC software that can do graphs other than read values).
Of course, one other thing is whether the USB meter is as accurate as it says (4 decimal places is already very accurate, in my opinion). Unfortunately, would need specialized equipment (like HKJ) to verify that they’re really precise.. I’d like to think that the ZY1276 is factory-calibrated to be accurate (can’t be sure if it really is though..)
Another thing is to allow the USB meter to be powered independently (so it doesn’t drain a minimal current from the USB power device it is testing, which affects the result) — ZY1276 doesn’t have this, but it looks like the KT001 can have independent power source so as not to affect results of the device being measured.

Your EasyAcc 26800 contains 99Wh, so to charge it from 0-60% in 15m, 240W would be needed.
I doubt that a reliable phone will pump up from 0-60% in 15m without increasing degradation of the battery.
Modern smartphone batteries ale LiPo batteries and degrade faster. Also the have only 1-1.5Ah, so with 2C 50% in 15m are possible.
With 18650 cells 1.5A-3A are regular. Only few cells can be charged with up to 6A, like the Sony Konion US18650VTC6.
An 4×18650 powerbank charging each cell at 3A you already have 44W of energy consumption. No USB power plug offers 9A at 5V to charge a powerbank with this current.

I received a new USB load and meter today and was able to do some output stress testing.
5V: No problem up to 2.4A, output voltage gets a significant bump above 1.5A.
9V: No problem up to 2.4A.
12V: Fine up to 2.2A, which is 26W of power. No phone is every going to draw that much power from a USB-A.

I just take my 12A charger with me

6×3.5A + 3×2.5A + 3×1.5A all a 5v. Simultaniously. Not even expensive. I love that thing
OnePlus’ Dash Charge pushes 4A @5v. (20Watt)
I think it’s no problem to build a 9A charger but the cables would get overly kinda thick…
But 3× 3A should be possible.
Anyway, charging at the max. theoretical speed is possible isn’t even my main point. There is a lot between 2A and 9A (or more as my PB fits 8 cells)
