Supfire Y11… Never lifted off unfortunately. Much appreciated for making this thread and reminding me about this one though, I will definitely try again to get my hands on a Blue Y11.
Photoblech broke my image links, but I had reviewed one of the Solarforce Gladiator clones previously:
If you are in the US and are really set on getting this style of light, I could be persuaded to part with it if I can find it. I don’t think I ever got around to doing any serious mods and I know I’ve never used it… I’m
Sounds like they still have them. I emailed them last night and they sent thier PayPal info. Not much cheaper at $59, but it’s through DHL so at least it will get here really quick.
Is light ready for use? No need for drop in reflector, mods, upgrades correct? If there are any mods needed let me know so I can account cost factors. Please advise. Thanks.
I have aliexpress so I will check it out. Is the light ready for use? Any mods, upgrades? I need to know due to extra cost factors. Please advise. Thanks.
Thanks for input guys. I really wan to buy both Supfire Y11 and Solarforce Gladiator. No one has both at same website for purchase. Then again, it will be very expensive to ship from different out source locations as opposed to 1 location. All of sellers I see selling are based out of China, Hong Kong. The shipping time will be approximately 30-45 days. I will get after holidays if I am lucky. Anyone that has input to get these sooner?
On a related note. I purchased a limited edition Ozark Trail 2 pack. Smaller version of original silver batlight minus strike bezel configuration along with pen light.
I’ve think I’ve always been partial to blue. Pretty much if whatever it is has a blue option I’ll get blue 99 times out of 100.
There’s about 5-10 more blue lights in the collection but they’re scattered around. I included the X7 because of that magnificent blue bezel even though it’s primarily black.
I will say the Y11’s anodization and/or handling of the parts is not ideal, unfortunately. It’s not very bad, but a keen eye can pick out some light scratch marks on some of the edges and a few tiny scratches on the body itself. Just minor imperfections. The parts were also not anodized properly. A keen eye, in the right lighting, can see slightly different shades of blue across the 4 individual pieces of the light. In those regards, just ‘okay’. The machining, heft and beefiness of this thing is really amazing and the best qualities of the light. It feels great in hand. It feels extremely solid, enough to absorb an impact. Overall ‘good’.
