Exactly. You canāt turn it on to the brightest level. You have to double click, pause, then double click again to get to turbo 2. Itās like a safety nanny. They wonāt let the 2 higher levels be memorized. That does not work for me.
I would much prefer an MT03 or MF01. They work better stock. The work super great when upgraded with NarsilM FET drivers. Even upgraded, itās still cheaper than the X7R.
Are you asking about the upgrade I mentioned?
Lexel makes new drivers using the ramping firmware NarsilM. Itās a FET driver so you get more output on turbo. The user interface is really nice. Itās ramping so you can set it at whatever level you want including being able to memorize the brightest level. You can set the turbo timer to what you want or set it to a user defined temperature. Youāve got battery check where it blinks out the battery voltage. Iām a big fan of it.
Not me. I would prefer a sling to carry it.
Using a sling makes it not only easier to carry - especially for a prolonged period - but you can put the light away and have both hands free without the necessity
to put the light down somewhere.
Itās a fantastic looking light though, makes me droolā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦but Iām afraid it will cost a small fortune.
In other words, you need to have a certain ratio between the emitter die size and the reflector size. The X9 has big āol emitters and fairly small reflectors. You can see in the video that the hot spot is quite large and spread out. It even has an OP reflector (in the older pictures) with spreads the beam a bit more.
