What is a orange light on a Trustfire charger?

I have this charger from MF, so far it has been fine for my 18650s.

Usually I put battries in and it has red lights until they are charged then they go green.

Yesterday I got some protected 14500 Trustfire flames, I popped them bot in a torch to see if they had any charge, one worked and the other one didn't.

The one that didn't work has a red light now and appears to be charging, the one that did work had a green light so I took it out and put it back in and the light turned orange. I have taken it out and put it back in about 10 times now but it just stays orange and there is no indication on the packaging what it means.

Any ideas?

Both of the lights are red now after around 30 mins so I guess they are both charging.

I still wonder what the orange light means though.

ive gotten the orange light before. I think it's suppose to be RED. Try inserting a different cell into the bay , or putting an additional cell into the other bay. This always fixed the problem for me :P

With my TR-001, I have only ever seen green for charged, red for charging, or alternating green and red for an error (bad cell for instance).

I think orange is a "lower current" charging, and an error/bug in the charger itself.

I only ever managed to get orange light in a bay when charging an almost-full battery, but with almost empty battery in the other bay. After a while orange turns to red (so both bays show red), as the current in the almost-empty bay comes closer to the almost-full bay.

I never ever got the orange led if a single charger bay is used, regardless of the battery state, so it definitely isn't a normal "low current" charge.

The same thing happened to my tr-001 the other day. The left bay has a half green, half red light making it look like orange. Or it could be half orange and half red. Whatever it is, it's not going away. When I place a cell it that bay, it doesn't change to another color. I can't tell if it's charging or not. Just stays orange/red unless when I slide the cell away from the positive end and then both light flash red and orange until I unplug it.

Anyone have any ideas? Time to get another one?
