I saw this over on CPF yesterday and thought that it would be a fun thing to try to make something similar by hand so I had a look in the spare parts box…
Measuring in at 16mm x 8mm, powered by three button AG4/377 cells, XM-L2 emitter and all soldered brass construction.
This is a twisty light and works by the outer casings being filed at an angle so when it is twisted contact is made by the ends coming closer together, same principle as my mini lantern build.
Max - 10lm
Current - 20 mA
Length - 16mm
Width - 8mm
Weight - 5 grams (with cells)
One of my faves so far that you have built. Are you retired? I just don’t see how you have the time to build all of these beauties. I’ll try this again…can I have it?
I was waiting to get new cells to test it as all I had was an old poundshop pack of button cells, maybe 3yr old and this puppy should be run on silver oxides I think
But as is around 20mA, 10lm and usable light for 8 minutes.
