*** NEW *** Haikelite MT09R Monster lights *** Update *** 2018-07-03

I believe the MT03 II was upgraded to XHP70.2. Its max rating of 4300 lm is not much more than the 70’s 4000 lm. However, I have read that the .2 produces considerably less heat than the original. If so, it could be that HaikeLite felt comfortable driving the 70.2 closer to it’s max output.

I’m going to guess that this costs less than 20% more than the MT03 II. Same emitters, but 40mm longer. The driver cost may cost more up front, but can eliminate the need to develop drivers, and more importantly, should minimize the cost of dealing with defective drivers.

I really like the green one. Its a nice change! When will it be available to buy and what is the approximate cost.

I like the Green one.

It should be ready before Christmas. Price is not known yet.

I don’t think the MF02 is the right light to compare it to. The Acebeam X65 has 5 XHP35-HI in small, deep reflectors. It does 12k lumen and 423kcd. If we divide that up to only 3 emitters and 7,500 lumen this light might be more in the 250kcd to 300 kcd range.

Wow. I like the green too :D

I think the white looks right.

Is it sand yellow already in the picture above?

No.

It’s a silver finish, not sand or white.

still hoping for a five or more emitters from haikelite .

I’m kind of surprised they didn’t use more emitters in this light when the updated MT03 doesn’t have much fewer lumens. The only good reason I can think of is to keep the price very close to the MT03.

5 or more 70.2 really need 8 cells to power it plus maybe a bigger head so that the reflectors are not too small. This would need a whole new design. Maybe in the future Haikelite will build a competitor for the Imalent dx80. Or maybe they think bigger, more expensive lights will not sell as many units as smaller, cheaper ones?

This is what I’m hoping for. It also makes sense to me if you have more than 12000+ lumens to switch to 8 cells. Also, a bigger light means a bigger head for higher continuous output. Surely it will be more expensive, but knowing Haikelite it will be amazing bang for the buck.

well at least we have the upcoming Astrolux MF03 as an option if Haikelite wont be making monster light.

It’s only 40mm longer, so not nearly enough space for another stack of cells.

I’d be okay with not maxing out the emitters if they added more. Using more would run them more efficiently, so using the same amount of total watts would increase output by nearly 2k lumens. Bump the output a tiny bit for 15k lumens. With the extra mass and dissipation from 40mm extra length and 2mm extra diameter, it should be able to handle the heat. It’d be a flooder, and that’d be okay.

 i think it is my old LCD makes it looks as yellow as my sand around my house.

More leds will be flooder because reflector can’t be deep enough.
I think Haikelite is right to make this one shoot further than other big output lights. No point making it as floody as those.

Yeah, I agree. I’d go with the triple XHP35Hi version

I forgot about the XHP 35 option. That makes adding emitters less attractive since it’d throw well with that small emitter. If it was just the big XHP70’s, I’d see little downside to adding more emitters.
