GearBest's Entry into Flashlights, the zanflare f1! First Light from this manufacturer!

An the tube light in question here, the built in charging takes up extra space. It would be quite close to the A6 or S2+ without the charging section.

My new Zanflare F2 2xAA light is very nice, the beam profile is much to my liking and I think they did a good job with this one. Sleek and stylish, firm clicky switch, nice design, with an indicator for low battery.

Received my CW F1, and I’m impressed. Finish is good, nice beam, and I had no problem accessing the USB port. I actually like the UI quite a bit. I would like to see a little more aggressive knurling as it feels a little slick, but not a big deal. It’s a keeper for me, and definitly worth the money I paid. The USB charging & port design are a plus for me. I’ll recommend this light to my friends.

I got one of these in today in good working order. Did not find anything “tinny” about it. In fact the tube is considerably thicker than my A6. It is larger than I care for but I intend to give it to a friend because of the USB charging ability. I am well pleased for the price

Is the head of the F1 still glued shut? Or have they stopped that? I’m thinking of getting a 6500K version, but I don’t like glued heads on my flashlights.

I have no problems with my F1 as well. I like the precise machining and really like the warm light tint on this one.
Definitely worth the money paid (USD 10).

I forgot to add that my F1 came with 2 spare o-rings included, along with the clip, USB cable, lanyard, and neoprene pouch. The zippered pouch, btw, is pretty funky and awkward to get the light in or out of it. Probably never use it because of this, but possibly if the light is being stored in one of our vehicles where it’s not used very often.

I had paid $15 for mine (lowest I’d seen), and will probably buy a few more at some point now that I know what they are like, especially if I can get them at the $10 price. Where are you guys seeing this price at?

I thought the pouch was funky at first too. However, I keep my F1 in my lunchbox (a small cooler) and the pouch keeps it from getting beat up. I actually like it very much now(the pouch). The F1 itself is awesome for the money. Just got my first Convoy S2+ today and I’ll have to think real hard about which one I like best. Both very nice lights.

Quality wise, the pouch is among highest quality pouch I have seen for flashlight for example 4Sevens X10 pouch. A bit hard to get F1 in and out of it though.

That’s why I consider it a storage pouch, rather’n a holster.

Fits nicely into a Jaxman holster now at FT. https://www.fasttech.com/p/7569100

(Also fits most tubelights like the S2+, as well as the Jax E2/E2L and the like.)

Nice! Is the holster bigger than the Banggood Astrolux holster below? I bought two of this but forget to try on F1.

Unno. Someone in the comments/reviews mentioned it fits his S2+ perfectly, so it’d probably work fine, and so they’re probably about the same size.

I got the FT ones regardless, as if bigger it might fit a ’502, if thinner it might fit a tubelight like an S2+, and if all-around smaller it’d probably fit an AA light like an SP10B.

I had all my bases covered.

I recommend holsters that are meant for the p60 lights like the 501B. A closed bottom C8 pouch will also work.

This p60 pouch is $0.85 USD if you get it from the China warehouse or $3.75 from the US warehouse.

The pouches for standard tube style lights like that Astrolux pouch are too small.

Eww. I’ve seen pouches like that. With the slightest twist, an S2+ can slide right out the “hole” on the side.

The Zanflare F1 is bigger in diameter than the Convoy S2. F1 is 28mm, S2 is 24mm, Ultrafire 501B, Solarforce, Surefire and other P60 size lights have a max head diameter of 30mm.

F1 fits P60 size holsters just fine but is too big for holsters for standard 18650 tube lights like the S2+. There are tons of P60 holsters available that give full coverage at budget prices.

It doesn’t fit F1. Not that i need holster for F1 though.

Ya, we prefer high quality budget holster. Holster can affect feeling towards flashlight too.

I have these, if you go to the Wholesale Inquiry you will see they get to $.58 at the 10+ mark.
So as you would expect my order was for like 15.
I give a lot of flashlights away and like to give complete kit so these could work for cheap lights.

First off, as with many things from the China vendors, you do not get what you see.
There is no leather bar on the top flap as they show. (At least in my batch, your order may vary)
However the side webbing is pretty good.
Where the shortcomings are is in the length of the strap for your belt. The opening is way too long/big. The Flashlight holster will want to flop forward and back.
My sister is a very good seamstress so hopefully she can stitch these tight to make them better.

Still better than nothing and at $.58 it’s hard to complain.

In my life I bought about 20 lights from $6.5 to over $100.
None matched the first impression of that $10 F1.
Nice packaging, 0 manufaturing flaws. But what really sold me was a nice neoprene holster with waterproof zipper.
Then I tried to put the flashlight in the holster and it didn’t fit. OK, I managed to put it in after a minute or 2 of fighting.
OK, after the first time it goes in much easier (but not easy).
Comparing to $7 S2+, I like the throwy beam and the low mode being fairly low. I like how it has no strobe. It would really benefit from a ramping UI though.
The middle of the beam is very yellow. The head is glued.

It does have strobe. (turn on and long press e-switch).

I also like the light. For me the only improvement can be smaller size, higher CRI and backward mode cycling like BLF A6 has (or moonlight shortcut).

I haven’t stumbled upon strobe, so it’s hidden well enough. It doesn’t hurt me.
But thanks for correction.
