Armytek: "hassle free" warranty? nah

Two Wizard Pro’s failed within 6 months of no abuse (used indoors for benchwork). I dug them out from the junk bin and contacted Armytek.

“Hassle-free” my butt.

Which light is that?

Wow, that is way cheaper than I thought. Thank you.

Skilhunt was down to 24.99$ with coupon

Lexal, coupon code please.

I really don’t see what the problem is. By the timestamps, it appears that Armytek was very responsive and gave you exactly what you wanted and even compensated you for the return shipping. Your screenshot is an excellent example of a hassle free warranty.

I agree. Their warranty page states that the customer is responsible to pay for return postage. Seems to me that their offer of $15 of merchandise is above and beyond the call. If companies paid for any “claims” of damage, they’d quickly go broke. It’s one of the trade-offs of not purchasing from a local store. The way I see it, having to send back the occasional item and pay for the shipping is by far offset by the money I save.

Bummer that your lights aren’t working. Best of luck getting the issues resolved.

Obviously they need some control before sending you new lamp. They can’t sent one to everyone who asks for it. And compensating for postage speaks for them as being great service. I see your post as actually promoting their truly hassle free warranty.

wow, even the cheap brand utorch has a better CS, once my utorch ut01 is broken, i asked GB to send me new one, the only thing they asked from me is ” a video of your broken light”, not a real light

Why did you post this in multiple forums?
Your pics show that the customer service is doing its job.

Wow, id say that is pretty good.
You want to try Gearbest if you want hassle, after buying 100s of items from them and no issues,i had one item turn non working, thought it would be simple to sort out, no such luck, Gearbest wanted several videos of dead item not working, whilst giving me the email run around in chinglish.
I just gave up and just dont buy from Gearbest anymore.

So would have been over the moon to have received the customer service you got

Saw OP’s other thread on another forum. Sheesh…surprised to see that he didnt list Armytek not driving a new light to his house and setting it up, as part of the hassle they are subjecting him to. :person_facepalming:

I can not imagine how the service you received could have been better. They responded in a timely manner. It is not unusual for them to ask for video or photos of the problem. Maybe a small hassle on your part to make a video but most of us do have that ability, and none of us can expect anyone to simply take our word that the light does not work. You should probably only buy from sellers in your own immediate area.

He’s been holding on to this grudge for several years.

I had a bad Klarus Mi7 that I bought from Gearbest. Gearbest’s idea of customer service was that they would give me a $5 credit if I’d keep the defective light. Contacted Klarus and they said to deal with Gearbest. Now THAT’S customer service. NAWT

Nice catch. The dates on his screenshot emails are over 3 years old.

Still being angry about being asked to return defective product 3 years later, enough to make posts on multiple websites, is incredibly odd.
I hope reading this doesn’t make him mad. Might flare up sometime in 2020. :expressionless:

Me, I prefer it the way Fasttech does it for DOAs. Send an image of the receipt for postage, they refund that amount to the card you used to buy it.

Dunno how long is the warranty, but anything beyond DOA, yeah, you’d probably be expected to front some of the postage. I think even Mag stipulates that you send the dead light on your own dime, even if it’s ruined by alkaleaks, if you deep-fry it, use it to drive nails when you can’t find your hammer, etc.

Yeah this person clearly has no idea how warranties and returns work.
That was very hassle free.

Hopefully they don’t give him anything in return after that very rude email at the end.
