FW3A, a TLF/BLF EDC flashlight - SST-20 available, coupon codes public

Features… lots of features. As many as we can fit into 8K (which, as it turns out, is quite a few).

It seems it’ll probably use Anduril. It has a smooth ramp, a mode group, soft lock, momentary, muggle mode, and about nine optional blinkies in two groups… and the ability to configure almost everything. For example, the mode group uses whatever floor and ceiling levels you want, with any number of levels between, evenly-spaced. The beacon and strobes go at whatever speed you set. Biking and candle and momentary and beacon modes run at whatever brightness you set. Many of the options are configured realtime during use without going into a menu. It also does smooth thermal regulation, automatically adjusting to any of about 640 levels to keep heat from going too high.

Very interested, please add me to the list for 1.

Any chance it will be offered in high CRI or warmer neutral white like 4000k?

Thanks

Does anyone have a side by side picture of the ‘two versions’…. or the capability’s to make one ???

It would be interesting to see.

Any solutions for those who don’t like clips? I know there are a few of us….

Nope, I don’t think it has any way to attach a lanyard without a clip. I mean, unless you remove the clip and replace it with a lanyard attachment ring. That would probably work. The host itself has nowhere to a attach a lanyard, nor anywhere to put a strong enough hole. There’s not much extra material anywhere.

Pavlo, it’s too early to say what the emitter choices will be. It hasn’t been decided.

Thanks Toykeeper. Looking forward to see what the final light will be like.

The clip could be ground away except for the hole closest to the body of the light. That could possibly give the desired lanyard ring hole and remove the disliked clip. It could potentially require some vise and ball peen hammer work.

Me? I would want the clip and the lanyard ring hole close to the body of the light . 180° away from the clip would be best. The Fenix clip is excellent and I see no way to improve in it.

Yep…. they both look good.

Please sign me up for one of them. Thanks

The sad thing is if they made it in both styles I would probably get one of each. lol

Yep… I feel the same way. I would too……

Same here. Give me one of each!

IF…. I were forced to choose only one, all else being equal; I’d go with the tapered one.
But there is no ‘deal breaker’ in that statement at all. Either one, or whatever else may emerge; works for me. :+1:

My thought exactly teacher.

As others mentioned I do like both, that being said if the original design wins out I do prefer the raw finish to the matte whereas the matte looks great on the tapered prototype.

I would like to be on the list please.

I prefer the tapered version personally but would buy either one. I’d especially love to see it with a few different knurling patterns/proportions. And I really liked that medium light gray with a matte satin finish on the protos tailcap.
