John 12:46 “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.” Genesis 1:3
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Even so, the same three lights using Li-Ion batteries, all on their lowest modes!
Manker E11 > SP10B > Olight S1R Baton
The only 2 lights I have that beat the SP10B is a modded AA/14500 light with a ReyLight driver and the Jetbeam RRT01, that has the lowest levels possible – I guess – in a flashlight!
EDIT: if the Olight S1R baton is supposed to have 0.5 lumens on the moonlight mode, the SP10B has much less than that. The difference between the AA and the 14500 cell is minimum, if there is any, on the ML mode!
Here is two SP10B’s on low. The left is a 14500, right is a AA. The 14500 is about double, so 1 lumen (AA) and 2 lumen (14500) is not out of the question.
OK OK, All this Talk and the great moon light level…. I just purchased one When the Wife asks, it was an absolutely could not wait the sell was ending, I had no choice, yes I know it was the forth one this week, I’m addicted story. It was only 20 dollars!

Hum, my question then would be: how accurate are the Olight S1R Baton 0.5 lumens?
If the SP10B, both on AA alkaline and 14500 Li-Ion, is a lot lower than the Olight on Moonlight mode – even if the Sofirn specs mention it has 1/2 lumens – how can we rely on the manufacturer’s numbers?
But maybe this is not a discussion for this thread
All and all, the SP10B has a great ML mode and it’s what matters for this place!
Thanks for the pics RobertB!

You’re welcome my friend. I really don’t know. They have different lenses, different emitters, different reflector sizes, etc.. and who knows how these companies calibrate. Sometimes I think they all just guess.
Like you suggest, if it looks good to you, that’s all that matters
Ha, imagine that! And here I thought I was the only (or one of the only) flashlight enthusiasts in the State! lol.

Great review, RobertB and thank you for the giveaway!

Question…I’ve heard that this light has an extremely low moon mode (<0.5 lumen). Has this been your experience ?
Thanks,
Mike
I’d say that’s probably pretty accurate. They list 1 lumen using AA’s. I have a light that is supposed to be .2, and the SP10B is a little brighter.
If I can help with that (also on this post)
Manker E11 (AA Alkaline, on the lowest setting) >>> Sofirn SP10B (AA Alkaline, on Moonlight) >>> Olight S1R Baton (16340 Li-Ion, on Moonlight mode)
