Review Sofirn SP10B + 3 lights Giveaway - Winners Posted

Congrats to the winners!

Congrats to the winners.

Congrats to the winners and amazing giveaway! thanks for organizing it.

WooHoo!!! Christmas came early. I might have to buy a lotto ticket today :money_mouth_face:

Thanks so much for your generosity, RobertB. Thatā€™s what I love about this forum. Congrats to the other winners as well.

Iā€™ve learned so much from this place. It wasnā€™t that long ago, I had a dozen flashlights, and if I could find one, they didnā€™t work when I needed them to. Now, I have lights that will blind you, EDC, and have them stashed in all the right places, and they always work. I donā€™t know how I ever managed without them.

I stopped by a friends house today, he was like me. He had a TG06 clipped to the bill of his cap, De-boning a deer, lol. I think he has seen the light, too.

Thanks again

Thanks for the GAW RobertB and Sofirn
Congrats guys!

Congratulations to the winners! This forum is so awesome and knowledgeable :+1:

hoping that someone knowledgeable can offer some good advice : what would be the best disposable 14500 batteries to use with this Sofirn SP10B to enable the highest lumen output, and the best battery life ? i just received this SP10B flashlight (great little budget light), and for the time being plan to keep it in the glove-box of our second car for emergencies ...so since i do not have a charger anymore ....figured i would simply purchase 2 or 4 disposable 14500 batteries and keep one inside the flashlight, along with the other batteries in a protective plastic case, keeping everything all together in the glove-box. any advice much appreciated !

The Sanyo UR14500P

thanks Doug, but those are flat-top batteries ...i think i need button-top batteries for this flashlight. thanks anyway.

No worries  I ordered these for mine because the price was great. I just solder blob the tops if I need to. https://www.ebay.com/itm/EFEST-RED-Rechargeable-Battery-14500-18500-LiMN/182966108997?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=690280305043&\_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648

Congrats legopacific, Dusty and mustig!

Thanks again, RobertB and Sofirn!

Merry Christmas to us all!

> thanks the reply Doug, however even though those in the ebay link look (from the pics) to possibly be button-top batteries, those are rechargeable 14500s ...i was simply looking for the best disposable 14500s for the Sofirn SP10B. again ...thanks anyway !

I bought 2 14500 Li-Ion batteries from Sofirn, advertised as 900mAh. I discharged and charged them on the same day.
Here are the results: What you got today - #9405 by MascaratumB

One, that was more empty, passed the 900mAh, and the other, not so depleted, reached very near the 900mAh.
They have button top, but they are smaller than the Sanyo UR14500P.

Hereā€™s the link for the store: Page Not Found - Aliexpress.com

Oddly enough, they cannot be shipped to Portugal anymore :person_facepalming:

Both these and the 14500 work well on the SP10B :+1:

EDIT: What do you mean by ā€œdisposable 14500 cellsā€ ?

> hi MascaratumB ; thanks for that info, and those links, much appreciated. however i was hoping to avoid rechargeable batteries ...i just wanted to simply purchase some good quality disposable 14500 batteries that offer good performance (highest lumens + low draw + reliability) for this SP10B that i can keep in the glove-box.

Sorry chezz, but what do you mean by ā€œdisposable 14500 cellsā€? To my knowledge - but I do admit I am ignorant - 14500 cells are rechargeable! But I may be wrongā€¦ :person_facepalming:

Also, Sofirn has a single cell charger, that is cheap enough and is usable with USB, if you canā€™t afford a more expensive one. I bought one and it is my backup charger.

Congrats!

by disposable i mean "one time use" batteries ....as mentioned in my original post, i no longer have a charger and frankly i am trying to get away from re-charging batteries. would prefer to simply purchase a decent 4 pack of good reliable 14500 batteries (that enable the highest lumen output with the SP10B) that i can stick in the glove-box of the car. thanks again !

P.S. > as far as i know, 14500 batteries are also sold retail/commercially as "one-time use (disposable)" batteries too.

I was wrong, there are non-rechargeable 14500 batteries. :person_facepalming:

Now, I got it!! (just saw there are non-rechargeable 14500s)
But unfortunately, I am not able to help on this as I donā€™t have experience with those :zipper_mouth_face:
Good luck with your search  I hope someone here can help you better!! :+1:

> thanks MascaratumB, appreciate you trying to help, warm regards !

Congrats to Dusty and legopacific. Your lights are going out in Thursdayā€™s mail. Tracy Wan from Sofirn is taking care of mustig through Amazon.uk.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all. Be safe :+1:

Cheers,
