Did I get ripped off by a BLF'er?

Why do spammers lose their BLF accounts and trolls don't?

This, not the money. I like this community here at BLF, but it is the Internet, so live and learn.

We should have seen the obvious clue: why would a member buy 4 identical lights and not want to keep ANY of them. Usually you buy one and like it so much you buy more, but you would not get rid of all of them.

Maybe we should have a BLF get together in Oklahoma, we can make a little side trip over to his house and kick his ass. No excuse for this kind of crap.

We could call it the Shuck Show....

If you guys have his address a BLFer meet and greet should be set up at his house at your convenience.

Just give his address to the nice folks from Westboro Baptist Church.

300+ miles to there from where I live... It's in the Northeast corner of OK so out of reach.

Let's not go overboard, there may be a totally valid reason for all this.

Yeah, but is something's wrong, maybe somebody should drive by and make sure he's okay! Laughing

We could call it a "Welfare Visit".

I take it you've filed a Paypal dispute? I had to do that with a couple of loser greedbay knife sellers. (United Outdoors and Poorfish) Only way the stuff got shaken loose.

Rich

just have a dozen or so members do some torch testing on his house

There might be a valid reason, but you will never know for sure. It’s the internet. Unless you know the guy personally, the reason could be as much of a lie as the initial thread. Anonymity is nice, but when it comes to changing money it can be a real bad thing.

I've been bitten once or twice this way. Once for $500 and I only got about $45 back. That was the old PayPal. Ever since ebay took it over, you get all of it back even if the seller does not have the money. That's how the last one worked anyhow. The seller had no money, but paypal (ebay) refunded me the whole amount out of their pocket.

This isn't ebay, but you should still file a dispute. You might get your money back and more importantly, that person will not be able to use paypal again (untill they go and make a new user name that is).Frown

Unfortunately theft is rampant and the net is a great place for it.

Hope you get it resolved.

It's both disturbing and encouraging that our forum is willing to commit felonies on behalf of one of its members.

Whatever happens, please be judicious about what gets posted online....

For some reason I keep recalling the gimp scene from Pulp Fiction when I read this…

Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

It's hard for me not to compare my own experiences with forum members. A couple of times, members have sent me their lights for review, including troop. That trust is extremely valuable to me. I've exchanged money, lights, parts . . . the half dozen or so guys I've done business with here, developed a relationship with . . . what it's all about.

Unfortunately, the bigger we get, the law of averages will have its way eventually.

And your a man of your word. You got to honor that.

Good idea. Maybe someone could go up and look into his window. Anyone got a flashlight to check it out?
