lol, their chat is not 24h like DD's. open the chat when they are online. check the following picture:

says that they're offline. try again tomorrow at some other time when they're online. the picture then looks different!! :)

Been trying for 4 days morning noon and night...nobody there. Guess I'll resolve the issue through paypal and find another source for the trustfire Tr-1200

I've placed over 75 orders with dealextreme the past 2-3 years , hardly any problems.

I placed an order the other day for a bunch of light related items, totaling $109.

They told me they wouldn't ship my order out until I sent them a photocopy of my driver license , and a front AND back copy of my credit card.

What a load of fu*^&#$ bullshat!

I finally got hold of them via chat...took about an hour. Anyway the Trustfire TR-1200 they took my money for over a month ago was never in stock for them to sell. They couldn't tell me when it will be in stock. Found a seller here in the USA that has them in stock for less than $40 delivered. Won't be doing business with DX again.

Next time i fill a cart with DX items (or on DD, with DD items) i will take a minute before i hit the Sumit Order button and contact them via chat and ask them about actual stock availability. And if 1 or 2 items are not in stock, then i would reconsider doing that particular transaction with them (or better with MF, or DD).

DX is not better than DD. Both suffer from the supply chain. If an article is out of stock in their warehouses, then we dont have any guarantee when it will be back in stock.

Neither can the chattists tell you any further details about the situation. They look the SKU up in their computer system, see that it is out of stock, and see that and when it was put on back order. Nothing they can do more about it because it's not in their hands anymore.

If the suppliers dont supply the backordered items (for reasons we dont know), then DX doesnt know what's going on at the suppliers' sites/sides either.

Canceling out-of-stock items and waiting for a refund is pita. I learned it. My next DX and DD order placements (and MF, KD, etc.) will from now on always include a chat session.

Similar as in RL, before i drive to Walmart for a specific little item i was planning to buy, i *always* call them on the phone and ask "you got enough units of it on the shelf, yah? ok thanks, see you then in 20mins, looking forward!".

DX is much more worse than DD FULL STOP

+1

Hello!

I made an order in december from UK Wourehouse hoping in a fast ship.... all items of my order were available from their website! And I really received a pack in 2 weeks (very fast) but without an item of the order (TrustFire Cree Z5 XM-LT6 5-Mode 1050-Lumen Memory White LED Convex Lens Flashlight Set (2x18650) USD 43.20). Now it's february and nothing arrived! I e-mailed to them but I'm thinking I will never see my flashlight neither the money back!

From my experience, avoid DX it's becoming very very NOT RELIABLE!

Hello to Everyone!

Matteo (from Italy)

I just escalated paypal today they have not replied to any of my emails etc?

They have the worse customer services. I ordered this light on the 5th Jan and nothing just a message Don't worry.

I can't believe how many people received the con mail from DX.

I received the same email myself. After waiting over a week for an order to even be processed (just 18650 and charger), I gave up, cancelled the order and get one through ebay (shipped next day). After no respond for the refund from DX, I opened my first ever PP dispute (and I've shopped online using PP for many many years). AT THE EXACT SAME DATE AND TIMESTAMP that I received email from PP about my dispute, I received an email from DX claim to have refunded my money through paypal. Talk about weird coincidence. The first thing I did is check PP and nothing is there. Same thing the next day, there is absolutely no transaction from DX to my PP account.

This is a freaking con. I believe DX has an automated response to send out fake email claiming refund so people will close their PP dispute. I kept on it on PP and finally got full refund.

Bad, bad experience. Even now I still have a couple of backorder and cancelled orders on DX and it's not moving as well, seem I have to claim all with PP dispute. DX don't seem to have anything in stock despite saying so, yet despite that, seem very fast to take your money and probably will never give it back if not for PP buyer proection.

They actually told me once to be eligible for a refund, I had to close my paypal dispute. HAHA! yea right.

I just opened a PayPal case on my incomplete order. They still have not issued a credit. I found a Trustfire TR-1200 here in the states for $36.50 and it will be here tomorrow.

I have never had a problem with DX before, but then again, I have never ordered so close after the chinese new year. I should have waited till march or april. I placed an order with them a few days ago. I made sure all the items were showing (ship in 2-3 days). DX states that those items are actually in stock and the items that show (ship in 5-7 days) are not in stock.

Well it did me no good. BACKORDER. I imagine DX was swamped during the holidays, but I am betting it's more of a matter of having way too many orders to fulfill.

I have tried to contact them, but with no reply and I have requested my money back, but of course, with no reply. Luckily I purchased with my Discover, (not using a paypal account), so I will just call Discover and get my money back, no matter if DX pays back or not.

I never use paypal directly, it takes months, if ever, to get a dispute done when dealing with these overseas vendors. I believe they count on that. Probably that free money from orders not shipped helps to cover their overhead.

Anyhow, never again. Very soon, I will have to quit the modding, since DX is the only vendor selling many of the items I need. (Yes I found out that many of the other sellers are actually "resellers" and they are getting their parts from DX), so no one actually has them, even though everyone shows they are in stock.

My thoughts exactly. Looking at how all my orders are stuck, even on cheap regular items, makes me ponder on this. Claiming everything in stock, once they got hold of your money, it sits there for months on backorder. WHY? It's like they're forcing us to lend them money without charge! It's looking more and more like they're doing this on purpose.

Worse still, we're the ones paying finance charges on our cards for the money DX sits on. Granted, we get our money back months afterwards, but DX already has that money interest-free for that time. Multiply by thousands of users they con thought "In stock" thing, it adds up real huge!

Ya, DX sucks much of the time. Expect it, if you plan to do business with them.

Buyer beware, plan to wait over a month for your order to even ship. They close for a week for holidays, but don't advise customers on the front page of this and keep taking orders.

The forum MODs treat people rudely most of the time. If you write a complaint that the product you paid for should have been shipped by now, they say, "It's *only* been 10 business days since you ordered." Like it is not reasonable to expect service within two weeks of paying and ordering your product.

The forum MODs threaten to ban you from the forums if you post about how the price is too high on an item, but they allow postings saying the price is good.

The forum MODs remove posting that are complaints, so what you see in the forums is not a real picture of customer experiences. They pin a "positive responses" thread at the top to show a fake impression of happy customers.

Most of the products they list are vastly overpriced junk. You can find most items in a dollar store for cheaper. There are a few gems for cheap there, but you have to be ready to put up with all the other annoying crap that goes with it.

2 in 10 items I've purchased from DX over the years are dead on arrival, faulty, or break within a short period of time.

I would NEVER buy anything over 10-20 dollars of value from them.

I guess most of you know about the time it takes from dx to ship your order.

So, here is mine:

Ordered on 26/12 and on 22/01 without any email of something like that, the order was in the same status.

I canceled the order.

12 days later, i checked to see if i had a refund or something like that. NOTHNG!!!

I made a dispute in paypal, wrote my comments and waited for DX reply.THEY NEVER REPLIED!!!

So, after 10 days of no reply from them, i filled a claim to paypal.

Now, i got a refund from paypal. Paypal standed up to my expectations. Thanks!

I think that the huge sales of DX has made them really arrogant with their customer service. So, before checking the best price, check to find a good dealer too!!!

I cant make any orders with DX

Every time it goes to the check out after going to paypal it gets a error.

You are probably better off. I placed an order and paid via paypal on 1/13/2012 figuring I had a week before the holiday. All items were marked in stock. I just now got confirmation that my order had shipped 2/16/2012. Over a month to process with a week before the holiday and 16 days after before they got off their ass and sent it.

My advice is, if it is available anywhere else, buy it there first. DX has gotten so they lie about "In stock" items and their already poor delivery times just keep getting longer.

Yikes, I just bought a $3.00 lighter from them...I hope its okay.

An order I placed on 1/4/12 was partially shipped. I canceled the light that didn't show up. They just refunded the entire order...sweeeeet!! The light was a Trustfire TR-1200 and I found it here in the states and got it priority mail in 2 days and it was only $2 more than DX wanted. If you can find an item elsewhere...buy it.
