Take me off the interest list, please. I thought we were signing up for this.
Indeed. I’m edging towards a list-pull myself. Love the
look of the link you posted, that’s why I asked to be added. But now I am unsure as it looks almost 80% different to me.
You don’t need to do that, this is just an interest list, not a “if you don’t buy it we’ll be suing you” list. And Fritz said the shape could still change. I can’t say I’m committed to buy it until I see the final design and specs either, but I’m still interested to see where it goes. I’ll base my decision more on performance than looks.
As a personal opinion, I don’t like the new slanted look much, but I didn’t like the original one a lot either. I’m more in the Lumintop Tool 45º chamfered camp, applied at both ends. And preferably with the new L2 clear anodization that somebody showed in a picture.
It is indeed just an interest list, but I’m sure the people doing all the work on these projects would appreciate people buying what they say they are going to buy. Keep in mind there is a lot of unpaid work going on in these group buys.

Well, yes, the interest list should be more than “I’m curious about this project”, but at the same time it’s not a commitment to buy the final result no matter where it ends. If some people consider the project went off what was originally promised in significant ways and the product doesn’t meet their expectations, they are justified not to buy it. You can’t force them anyway, but there won’t probably be that many as to affect the project. And I doubt organizers want to deal with ‘take me off the list’ requests for such cases.
With all the BLF flashlights I have bought, You could make it out of a ball of tinfoil and I will still buy it It’s whats on the inside and if I might add, the outside looks pretty good as well. Round, flat, oval, its all GOOD
I haven’t bought a “custom” light since Mr. Bulk’s (aka Hawaii’s Charlie Wong) programmable Luxeon 3W TWOJ LiOnHeart well over a decade ago. (Still have and use it too!).
This one has my interest especially with a Nichia. So please add me to the list. Thanks!
Another vote for a future FW3A batch or retail option with Nichias instead of the garbage XP-G3s. I had the chance to play with an Emisar D4 with the 90CRI 5000k 219Cs and the light quality completely blew me away. So much that I ordered it on the spot from my smartphone.
How bright will this light be… how will it compare to the blf a6? I can’t seem to find that in original post, nor after reading some pages of comments.

The FW3A will probably put out twice as much light as the BLF-A6, or possibly even more. It uses a triple TIR optic though, so the beam pattern is different than an A6. It has an e-switch instead of a power-disconnect switch, and much fancier firmware, so it’ll do a lot more than the A6 did. It’s also significantly smaller, and made by a company with a better reputation for quality.

Is this statement is valid, I would like 2. Please sign me up.
Toykeeper knows what she’s talking about, a triple FET light in this compact size is a huge Wow! factor light, for sure!
Edit: This will definitely be a useful light on a lot of levels, just because it has Wow! factor don’t let that fool you, it should serve very well in the EDC capacity.
Hi, i am interrested also ! If possible with the initial shiny surface, not the sand blasted one.
Anyway, it looks like a great pocket light !
Thanks a lot to BLF folks behind that project.
Could you add me to the list for a third and forth.I believe the first 2 were #733&734. Thank you.
I am preferential to the first design, but its still a kick ass light. So, as long as it gets delivered, I have faith in the wisdom of the leadership.

I agree with this. Is there any real reason not to use nichia in this light? The cost difference can’t be that great, and we as flashlight enthusiasts should all be voting with our wallets against shitty tinted LEDs.
I am interested. Please add me to the list for 2.
My bad, over 2000 posts, didn’t catch that. Bouncing between various threads, me’s gets confused sometimes….
Looks neat, add me to the list for 1 please.

I prefer the tapered design (and Nichia of course) but will buy whatever is available.
