I imagine many of us will not receive our DHL packages due to no one being available to sign. Several of us were trying to figure out how to handle the situation when the thread was shut down.
Best I could find was to click on the link in my text message. Problem with that is that it takes me to a page that I need to fill out and print directly from my cell phone. I don't have a way to do that. I tried to find the same service from a desktop, but it doesn't seem accessible from anywhere other than my cellphone.
I have contacted DHL customer service. If they provide an answer, I will share it here.
Anyone know how to change delivery options?
EDIT: Figured out one possible solution. See next Post below.
No, it was a combination of providing on-line delivery instructions (e.g. front door, side door, etc) and printable form. No DHL Account Number required. It also auto populates the delivery address. I'm a bit concerned about mine because the State portion says "S", instead of "SC".
EDIT: Repurposed thread. Just a temporary spot to have fun and celebrate as we await our GT's. Sounds like quite a few folks will have them in hand by tomorrow night. Charge your batteries!
On Dec 27th I received the DHL notice that my BLF GT had shipped, and that it shipped on Dec 28th! Made me
(Yes, I understand that China is across the international date line. Mine shipped at 1am China time, which is still the day before when I received the text.)
Now ~32 hours later it seems to be in Cincinnati, Ohio and cleared by customs.
Hmm Mine is in the first batch, no batteries and still no notification, while I can understand sending them out by country batches I thought that the first 555 batch was being sent first, it seems that there are people in the second batch with their lights on the way <—- if I am wrong then I’ll blame frustration
Hmm. Last time I signed digitally on DHL’s site and they left the package. There was no print out or anything like that.
The day before delivery they sent a text, something like ‘package scheduled for delivery… signature is required… manage delivery at:’ and then followed up with a specific link to ‘delivery.dhl.com’
Following that link there were a bunch of different options, pretty much anything you could want to request in order to best receive the package.
IIRC, last time I checked the latest list, there were (edit/recount) 270 orders being shipped DHL, that had batteries ordered at the same time. Is that enough for a full pallet? No clue.
I thought about ordering just the flashlights, then buying the batteries stateside, then I figured the savings combined made it more worthwhile, so I ordered the package deals instead.
I'm definitely not in a big rush, but it would be nice to see the original thread unlocked, so team members that do have contacts and/or info pertaining to the topic, can post, to let us all in on what's going on. If anything
