Send Neal a message about it but don’t expect a reply till things settle down some. Either way he will be the one to talk to about it once he has time to breath.
Coyotehawk will add or update your names to his sign up list. You’ll see your name when he does the next update which could be several days. It will be sometime mid January when you are emailed with the details of where to go and how to order.
If you plan to buy batteries, please sign up for them in the Madmax list I post every page. This let’s the guys know how many sets they need to keep on hand.
I’m actually hoping he will do the third group payments in a week or two so that he can get caught up with the earlier orders. Maybe then he could give a few more updates on how the shipping is going. It’s his prerogative, of course.
Yeah, I am not planning on sending out the next set of payment PM’s until the current orders are much closer to being caught up. At this rate figure 2 weeks or more.
UPDATES: It appears that the first couple of shipments are going out by region instead of the exact order in which we paid for cost reasons. Initial quality has been fantastic.
The first shipment of lights (168 total) shipped on Dec 23. This was a pallet going to the USA from the first 576th person on the paid list that did not include batteries. Tracking numbers went out on Dec 27 and lights started arriving to customers on Dec 29th.
There should be a European order going out in January.
The next group to purchase lights (#1000 and up on the list) will get their emails mid January instead of early January in order to let Neal get caught up with current orders.
Welcome 18000bph, you won’t regret joining here. Well, not immediately. You might become a severe flashaholic like some of the rest of us and regret it in the end but it will be too late then to matter.
As has been said repeatedly in this thread, your request will be picked up and you will be added to the list with the next scan from the team members that are keeping track, you will then be notified in the PM’s here on the forum when it’s time to make your payment, instructions on how to do so will be included at that time.
My Dad showing the massive GT against his new (birthday present) Q8…
Easily far and away the largest flashlight in my collection (only some of which is represented here)
And of course, who’s surprised I already got into mine and made changes? The centering ring is actually a single large piece of what appears to be Delrin, with holes cut in the black plastic to clear the hold down screws going through the MCPCB, this keeps the centering ring stable and is well done, nice attention to detail…
The full copper MCPCB is DTP and has standard thermal paste under it, the pattern shows the inprint of the pressure the two screws provided…
The driver, as fleshed out by TA and DEL, virtually bulletproof in this application and heavily tested for our satisfaction and ease of mind…
And a couple of comparisons, to the BTU Shocker and the even larger Olight SR90 Intimidator. Added a shot with the Shocker and a Convoy L6. I guess the Intimidator is now the one forced into some timidity….
I got into it the same day I got it, swapped the warm 4000K XHP-35 for a whiter version more to my liking.
Thanks Lumintop, excellent job on this… and thanks again to the team that provided vigilance to ensure everything about it was to our liking…. well done!
