Thanks for the clarification and advise, I created an account to order but I’m going to await Richards reply on him getting some, looking at his reflow option on the boards it looks like he will remove LED’s from a different board too, and maybe he would let me send him my own LED’s to reflow if he’s not going to be stocking them. ?

I just asked the 21700 tubes and single led C8F host to be make. Also asked switch tailcap to be sold separately or as a choosable option for side switch C8-s. I hope they will answer soon!
And my XP-L2 leds arrived earlier than the host.

My C8F host arrived with a Sofirn SP32A but the host doesn’t contained MCPCB. I told sofirn and I hope the problem will be solved.
For now I’m playing with the SP32A and making the driver for the C8F host.
For me it’s the opposite. Have XP-L2’s, driver, XP32 but waiting on host. Subbing to the thread so I can follow everyone’s build progress.
Have everything but the hosts, they’re being held hostage in China, waiting to hear on the ransom…

All this talk of modding gave me a jones to DO Something, so I stuck 4 of my new 5000K XP-L2 in my Dad’s Q8.
I will make tonight a TA OTSM driver for my heat treated L2 and make lighted tailcap for my new clear S2+. I want it to be very clear so I putted in stainless button and the screw type pocket clip and made it a shorty. The switch lighting also be white and I want to change the green O-ring at the lens to a clear one too.
What is the diameter of the LED holes of the reflector, 9 or 7mm? Also, is the C8F host thread compatible with their C8A/ C8T host?
I’m at work now for 11 more hours. tomorrow I will measure it. I can not try the thread with C8A and C8T because this is the only Sofirn C8 I have but I can try them with Convoy C8.
