I made the mistake of ordering 6 items that I can't find in the US. and 24 hours later I got a BACKORDER on every item I bought (even though their website shows "in stock"). Tried to contact them, no answer. Guess they are too busy "speeding up someone elses dispatch"

About ready to give up, can't get the parts in the US and can't ever get them from overseas.

I'd say alternate universe.

I have a pending order for a year with DX... So, I 'll go with alternate universe

How to read DX availability information:

In Stock: ships in 2 to 4 days (5 to 8 during new year season) => Most probably "in stock" => Usually shipped "quite soon" => You will receive the item in about 2-6 weeks. Usually in 4 weeks.

Typically ships in 4 to 7 days* (7 to 10 during new year season) => Backordered => Might be shipped in two weeks, or years, or never, YMMV.

Most "beginners" read the second one as "In Stock", which is usually a big mistake!
