[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

I measured 2049 lumens on the 4000K emitter in my light box, 2225 lumens on the cool white version I swapped in.

My light, measured at the emitter with a loop in the negative lead contact and a Uni-T clamp meter, made 2.43A in Turbo and 1.93A in High. Changing my cells from the LG M25 to Sony VTC5A didn’t alter the output significantly.

I have never heard of an E7 bin, they usually stop at 4 and then go up to the next letter with the xhp35.

Each bin is worth about 7% output change (they also have a 7% tolerance range, so keep that in mind).

So going to an E4 bin would be worth about a 14% increase over the stock LED. Although I have not seen any E4 bin XHP35 HI’s except for a few that cutter got.

The HD would still net you lower CD even with higher output. Although I have heard that dedoming an HD LED can give you better lumens and throw over a HI LED, if you are willing to put up with the tint shift (I am not).

Cutter supposedly has an E7 bin HD right now on their website, that is why I am asking…

That is to be expected due to the meter bias towards the cool white spectrum.

I generally see around a 10-15% meter bias between CW and NW depending on the exact tints.

Got a link, I am pretty sure that is the tint bin. E7 is around 3000k.

I think you are right, I am reading it wrong

I do see a 3C tint (5000k) E2 flux XHP35 Hi here, maybe a group buy?

http://www.cutter.com.au/proddetail.php?prod=cut2678

Yeah, that is an E7 tint and C4 flux, so around 3000k. I got the 90 CRI version of that LED actually and tested it awhile back.

I also have that 3C E2 LED. In fact it might be what is in the Giggles prototype actually come to think of it. Personally I prefer the stock LED better but I will wait till I get the prototype back to do a direct comparison (well, VOB will do it first I am sure).

I have an xhp 35hi e2 3a how would it compare to stock led ?

You would get about a 7% increase in output.

There is only a partial list of paid orders. We probably will not get a new full list as it causes more problems for Neal than fixes things.

The max battery length I measured was 70mm.

The first link with the pink batteries say they are 71mm, so they won’t fit.

The second link with the green batteries say 69.5mm, so they should fit. Did you see the couple of sketchy reviews on them? A few folks say they only measured 1800 to 2200 mah. Most say they are about 3100 to 3200 mah. I don’t know if they are legit. Maybe?

As long as your payment went through on paypal then you are covered.

You can still add the 35E batteries, but keep in mind they are not protected. Depending on when your order ships and when Neal sees you battery purchase, the cells might be included with the light, but there is no guarantee. The light might ship first, then the batteries. Just so you know.

Part of being a responsible driver is not blinding oncoming traffic. If your headlights are not adjusted properly, get them fixed.

Even with halogen bulbs, there are idiots driving around with their high beams on. Or just misaligned housings that blind everyone. There is always going to be those situations. I guess if enough people flash their high beams at these idiots they will eventually get the message. Or they will get pulled over and ticketed.

The people that drive down the highway with their 30” light bars on, I wish the cops would pull them over and cut the wires then give them a big fine.

Just my opinion.

Not too hard. There is videos about reflowing emitters floating around, just do your research before attempting.

Eventually there will be LED boards available in the right size to be a direct drop in I am sure. When/if that happens, its just a matter of desoldering two wires, swap the board out, and resolder the two wires

That is right, I know if I want to go up in lumens I will loose lux. Right now I am thinking an xhp70.2, but want to wait to see what other emitters are put in this and what kind of results they get

Nice!! Glad I was wrong about this.
Looking forward to seeing it. I am interested too……

I know you’re supposed to use new batteries of the same brand, capacity and charge/discharge cycles for giggles. I have 8 sanyo 18650ga flat tops with 3500mah and they are both around the same amount of discharge/charge cycles. Does it have to be exact, or if it’s a couple off is that ok? Thanks all!

One of my GT's I bought specifically to get modded.

I'll go all out once someone figures out what all out is.

And hopefully someone out there would MOD my GT for me :D

Thanks once more to everyone on the team!
Brother in law cant wait for his!

Hello, what is the bin of utorch ut02 nw? could it be replaced by this in gt? regards

3D 5000K
You could, if you reflow it yourself at this point
