As long as your payment went through on paypal then you are covered.
You can still add the 35E batteries, but keep in mind they are not protected. Depending on when your order ships and when Neal sees you battery purchase, the cells might be included with the light, but there is no guarantee. The light might ship first, then the batteries. Just so you know.
Part of being a responsible driver is not blinding oncoming traffic. If your headlights are not adjusted properly, get them fixed.
Even with halogen bulbs, there are idiots driving around with their high beams on. Or just misaligned housings that blind everyone. There is always going to be those situations. I guess if enough people flash their high beams at these idiots they will eventually get the message. Or they will get pulled over and ticketed.
The people that drive down the highway with their 30” light bars on, I wish the cops would pull them over and cut the wires then give them a big fine.
Not too hard. There is videos about reflowing emitters floating around, just do your research before attempting.
Eventually there will be LED boards available in the right size to be a direct drop in I am sure. When/if that happens, its just a matter of desoldering two wires, swap the board out, and resolder the two wires
That is right, I know if I want to go up in lumens I will loose lux. Right now I am thinking an xhp70.2, but want to wait to see what other emitters are put in this and what kind of results they get
I know you’re supposed to use new batteries of the same brand, capacity and charge/discharge cycles for giggles. I have 8 sanyo 18650ga flat tops with 3500mah and they are both around the same amount of discharge/charge cycles. Does it have to be exact, or if it’s a couple off is that ok? Thanks all!
not sure if it was just because of my acct, but i just got the nitecore i8 8bay charger for $29 on amazon—for those of you looking for a 8 slot charger for this set of batteries
Rcvd the light today……holy hell is it big hahahaha still feels good in the hand tho. only one coating blemish in a heat ring that can be covered easily. Everything else appeared intact and without flaws. Battery tube was dirty but not an issue. Overall 110% satisfied with purchase!!! Thanks everyone for the great light.
One question though - Are the battery springs on the carries supposed to be so light pressure?
The springs are a bit light when used with unprotected cells but are nice and tight with protected cells. Lumintop focuses on protected cells for their lights, so it kind of figured they would follow this design.
Personally I wish they were a bit longer to hold the unprotected cells a bit better but they are good enough. I have not had any issues with them.
It is best for all 8 to match but yes, as long as the 4 in each carrier match, you will be ok. I have been using both of my GT’s with 30q/HE4’s in 1 carrier and laptop cells in the other. Not officially recommended but it works fine.
