Could you please ask him if he shared that purchase info with anyone before he posted it on FB? If so, maybe Neal can find those orders and cancel them as well (assuming he shared it before that FB post).
Do we know how many GTs were purchased with the leaked link? I honestly don’t think they were too many, given that the group isn’t very active. Maybe just a small inconvenience but nothing to worry about :+1:
i’m not sure how to do it, but can the codes be a “one use only” code? that would eliminate sharing—-perhaps a more computer savvy person could do this… otherwise the team would have to put used codes in an excel file, sort (easy) and decline and duplicates

I kind of figured this might be the case (although admittedly I was still quite upset) and I always like to have both sides of a story before judging someone too harshly.
If you could have him PM me on here that would be great so I can see exactly how much damage was done. If he will stop sharing the link it is possible we can salvage this without having to completely start over, which would be great and save a lot of time.

Politely letting him know he made a mistake in a constructive way, that is fine. Cursing and abusing him IS NOT OK. EVER!! Even if he was doing this with malice intent.
So when I make a mistake, is this what I have to look forward to? Everyone going off their rockers? It is inevitable that I will make a mistake at some point.
I told ya’ll, we caught it early enough that while it would take a lot of extra time, no one would loose their light. There was no need for people to get personal about this.
This is why I won’t go near social media and had sworn off all online forums until I found BLF and the nice people here brought me back to the internet. Please don’t make me reconsider my choice.
gosh i wish i had seen this and got in on the group buy!!! i am really bummed now!!! guess i will have to wait around til the public sale sadly. still super excited about the light though.
This is being looked into for the next round, although not sure if it will be possible. More likely we will break it up into groups of ~100 people to minimize the impact of someone sharing it.
Yes I will relay that you guys have graciously accepted Thomas’ apology… thank you that is very kind. He can’t PM you because he lost his password a while back… that’s why he asked me to apologize for him. He IS NOT sharing the info any longer. I believe he only gave to a few people (I asked him for an exact number and am waiting for his reply. He’s elderly and may have gone to bed.).
I’m going to send you a PM now with a screen shot he showed me earlier. It’s shows how he asked for permission and it might shed light on his intentions.

I can honestly see this happening as a mistake on his part.
I mean heck…. look at how many people screwed up a simple ordering process or how many times the same question has been asked & answered over & over & over…… simply because of the tendency to not read or keep up… just a little bit.
So yeah… I can certainly see this. No hard feelings from me.
It’s ok I understand and yeah that is amazing that there were 1500 available at the group but price. I’m really excited either way about it. If anyone cancels out or whatnot please let me know and I will join in if that’s possible, I’m new to all this.
It actually looks like an honest mistake. Although he should read DO NOT SHARE LINK a bit better. I’m guessing he has never gotten a coupon code from Madmax or Freeme. They always make it clear not to share special pricing codes.
Madmax has been burned pretty good in the past from people sharing codes they shouldn’t have, but that is a story for another day.
