What you got today

Yer top's fallin' down, luv.

EDIT : Holy $#!&, Jack - that's funny.

Got this Yesterday night.

I'm officially HID-positive.

Received my 85w HID 'ebay' flashlight.

First impressions (still light here)

- it's big :)

- it makes a heavy buzzing sound when put on

- it's supposed to be 6000k but it seems to start up at 5500-6000k and than going to maybe 4500-5000 after using a while, but going up to 5500k now and then

- it's less bright than expected but as i said it's still daylight here and i read some posts about people saying it gets brighter after using a few times

got my "3$"-lube (i paid 6.89€, or 9.14$, for it) today. havent tested it yet. didnt come with a blister packaging. the stuff looks good so far. it does NOT look like oil but like liquified (silicone) grease. very viscous (viscid) and reminds of typical liquid glue. the transparent tube-like container is not hard plastic but soft plastic: squeeze it to control the oiler's output.

the oiler comes with 2 caps (yellow tip, and transparent cap) and a pocket clip. the pocket clip is rather cool -- it fits my AAA lights (in picture: Klarus MiX6), and it is branded with "SYNCO" (difficult to see in the picture which is a PC scan hehe) which looks nice too.

I am very glad that the oil doesnt have the physical consistency of oily oil (from your kitchen) but flows very slowly and "thick" .. like liquid glue.

Will test and evaluate the lube later.

If this product doesnt do it for me, then i'll give up. I have spent enough time, energy, efforts, and money on this topic. No further money invested in lubing products, no thanks! And all that §$%&! mostly because i was/am not willing to pay 8-10$ shipping for a mini tube of Superlube Grease (which is highly recommended on cpf as one of the best lubes for flashlights, threads and o-rings, made of any material).

yeah, sometimes i regret having gone the cheap route. budgee me. tss.

Got my new Turnigy Accucel 6 Charger today.

I agree almost. The L2P just received is the Special Edition HA-111 (3) We paid a little more but I have used it everyday at least 3 times.

Niiiice…

Ordered on 2/2, delivered on 2/9 - a new record! Beautiful little light. Form, size, modes and AA make this a perfect little EDC light and now I just have to get the AAA version. I am enthralled by the minimalist design and machining. You cannot detect the gap where the tailcap connects to the body. Nice smooth cool white beam with a decent hotspot. Lovin' it.Cool

As soon as I get my tax refund or collect payment on a few micromags I’m building for clients I’m getting an S2. I have the S1 (AAA) and I love it. Simple, small & elegant. How is the switch on the S2? The older batch had some issues that were to be corrected on these newer ones. How are the modes and beam quality?

JM:

Switch was a little stiff at first and it takes a few minutes to learn the feel of the half clicks to change modes. I sprayed a little RadioShack lube in the switch from the outside and gave it a series of clicks and that seems to have loosened it up just fine. I like the clicky vs twisty. It has no memory, so it always comes on in High. Light OP reflector gives it a nice smooth beam with a definite hot spot - very nice and pretty bright on High. Definitely has PWM, quite a loud hum on Low. Modes are well spaced. This is a helluva deal at $17.50, can't wait to try out the AAA version.

Big watchout on these is careful where you set it down - it likes to roll!

Glad to hear it! I will be ordering 2 of them in that case. One for me and one for the little lady. She’s been wanting a small light and likes them at 100+ lumen but hates twisty switches. I was afraid the S1 wouldn’t be bright enough for her but if the S2 has no memory and starts in high mode then it’s the perfect light for her.

Crelant 7G5 V2 arrived 15 minutes ago.

Your first impressions would be ????????

Nicely packaged in a box complete with accessories and extension tube which has 5 GITD rings installed on it.

There is also a GITD ring between the bezel and the lens. The huge aluminium reflector looks really well made and the output should be huge. The light I have currently with the most output is the Klarus XT20 it really is impressive with its wall of light and very decent throw specially when compared to the single headed but deeper reflector XT11.

I look forward to comparing this light with the XT20. If only I had enough 18650's!!! Busy bidding on some on Ebay.

Not related to flashlights, but to something E1320 recommended to use.

I have received today an EGO e-cigarette, I have given it a try, and I feel I will adapt to it, I bought it from Manafont, it is a copy for sure, but it is well made.

Romisen RC-T601 II from Shiningbeam. It's the custom 2-mode model. Looks pretty slick and works great. It's now my favorite C8.

Please , tell me more ..
