I want to do a GT pyramid, step off even steps to form a square base with 4 people and point the GT’s up into the night sky and put us in a pyramid under the lighted corners. I’m weird. I know.
Another buddy told me to shine all 4 at the water tower, take a picture, then show y’all the picture and say “look at the pic I got of my GT rocking the tower!”
Hmmm, make a wood panel joiner like someone did with the Maxtoch throwers and join 4 GT’s into a 10,000 lumen quad that throws miles?
It would take a psychologist a lifetime to poke around in that mind of yours Dale. A light pyramid using the longest throw led flashlights on the planet, unreal. It’s a darn good thing you are a photographer because we want pics!!
I will probably install xhp35 hi E2 1A in mine (when i get the GT , and when i get the leds) , it should be a little cool for my taste , but i will live with it
My hypothesis is that there will be some perceived difference between reflectors, and more than difference in measurements. At least very little between two examples with the same emitter when accounting for bin tolerance. There might even be very little difference between the two planned upgrades. We’ll see, I guess. The only way to really approximate the reflector quality tolerance would be to test lots of reflectors in one light, which can be a laborious task.
I’m kind of glad I have not received mine yet. Reading about these experiments going on (while stuck at work and in the city with all the light pollution) is more interesting and less frustrating when I don’t have a BLF GT staring at me on the table. :innocent:
Megabassie, Polarweis and me didn’t receive the GT. After a call with DHL they told us that they have no info about shipment to my address. So at this moment we don’t belong on the list...
