Wrist watches. Post pics, if you EDC one!

Yeah, bead blasting would be nice. Is it enough to cover the glass with tape?

I wouldn’t even know who to ask, or maybe I would, but I’d have to ship it.

Hmm, I guess I’ll ask my favourite Ti anodizer and bead blaster in the bladecomuty forum.

Thanks for the advice

The glass wasn’t removed just taped on mine.

Ordered this Hamilton Khaki Mechanical today.

My Braun BN0106 that I got from Amazon UK for £112. Battery was flat so I got them to knock off 15% (£16.80….) then bought five new cells for £1.50 and fitted one myself in ten minutes……

Paul, that’s a very interesting looking watch. Is that an LCD display? or is it self-illuminated?

Edit: Nevermind. I looked it up

Haha……

It’s a gorgeous display mate - really smooth digits. A lovely blue backlight if you need it at night, although to be honest the negative display is really very legible even in pretty low light. These often retail for silly money - certainly several hundred pounds - and I’d admired their retro simplicity ever since I got into watches I suppose. So when I saw this offer it was just too good to miss. Plus I had an Amazon voucher which was burning a hole in my pocket anyway. All in all I am utterly chuffed, it looks really cool and the strap is really industrial and spartan. I love it.

Very neat mate. Love the matte finish.

Thanks Paul. I love the finish too. Plus, I love the simplicity and that it’s a hacked winder.

I’ll look forward to some wrist shots atbglenn

Absolutely Paul! It’s coming from California so it make take a week or so.

Just had the quickest of peeks at Hamilton’s history.

Very interesting to see the company was founded in Lancaster, PA - my eldest daughter has managed to get into Bryn Mawr College a mere fifty miles or so from there and is just back at home in the UK sitting next to me having completed (and thoroughly enjoyed) her first semester.

She’s heading back there in a week.

Paul

Very cool! Say hello to her for me. I’m only 148 miles from there

I will do. It’s a relatively small world

Casio Duro. Beater watch, but my EDC. Love it.

Precista 18Q … most days. Cool and reliable beater quartz. The accurate and dependable diver that’s built like a tank…

A new purchase earlier this month

Nice choice. Great watch. I have a few Helm’s in my EDC rotation.

Nice! I thunk you meant you have their whole collection? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yep … you get a lot of watch for the money. Excellent value and extremely well made.

Nice watches guys!
