[SOLD]: 20 Gauge Silver Plated Copper Wire Insulated in Teflon [SOLD]

I have 3 bundles of 10 feet of this wire.

Specs:

  • Silver plated
  • Oxygen free copper wire
  • Teflon insulated (high heat resistant)
  • 19 Strand
  • 20 AWG
  • Mil Spec - M22759/11-20
  • O.D. 1.46mm

I bought this wire to use in my SST-90 build, but I have more than enough to use in future builds.

This wire is excellent for high current builds like the Phlatlights, SST-90s, XM-Ls and such.

The Telfon insulation is a bit stiffer than silicone wire.

Each bundle is $2.50 USD or $6 USD for all 3 bundles

Shipping will be $1.64 for USPS First Class Mail.

International buyers PM me first please.

If you have any questions feel free to post! Beer

If anyone else is in need of PTFE (Teflon) wire, I get short lengths from McMaster-Carr all the time.  They are a great company to buy from - same day shipping and they carry all kinds of stuff for a flashaholic Smile

www.mcmaster.com is the website.  search 7304K122 for an example of 20ga PTFE Wire.

30 feet for 6 bucks is an awesome deal.  If you need PTFE and can snap it up from this thread - do it.  Even in large quantity, MIL Spec 20ga PTFE is about 18 cents per foot.  And I'm talking 1000 + feet pricing.

PTFE is great -  the insulation doesn't melt when soldering it to something like PVC does.  It's a pain to strip though.  I use a thermal-stripper, which works great, but you CAN strip PTFE with wire-strippers, it just takes patience and a little practice.

TXL is my second favorite.  It's made for under-hood automotive use, and survives quite well even in high-heat.  It's far easier to work with than PTFE, but of course, doesn't have quite the heat tolerance.  It also doesn't come in small guage sizes.  I think the minimum is 18ga and the max is 12ga.

Glad you like it.  I'm kind of a McMaster junky.  It honestly seems like I get a box from McMaster every day.... I should probably cut back on that Smile

I'm sure my UPS guy thinks I'm a bit odd.. Every day something shows up from McMaster, Mouser, Digikey or Happy Sunshine Fire Company in China Smile

I've been ordering electronic components from Mouser for 5 or 6 years now. Always been happy with their selection.. I'm sure my UPS, Fed-Ex, USPS guys think I'm a bit odd as well, so you're in good company Smile

Which properties of the PTFE are you interested in?  Are you using it for the high heat tolerance, or is there another spec that works for you?

I just like having a large variety of different types of wire because I'm constantly doing new projects. What all you got?

No problem! That's some pretty fast shipping! I'll put up a sales thread if I have more stuff for sale. Beer
