Astrolux MF03 - new pictures + video

Any updates with the MF03

And to think I just found this project.

Welcome! come on in, there are no bees here  :stuck_out_tongue:

What is real and what is a render on these pictures?
The flashlights can not lay over each other in that way. The Flags and the Cap are not real.
The desk and the room are real and perhaps the hand and the green flashlight.

It all looks real to me. Carefully check the shadows and light sources. I see no signs of any rendering.

Keep in mind that these are not flashlights, these are empty hosts. They should be able to lay on each other like that with no problems.

Dude, these are just real pictures. Are you learning photoshop recently?

After looking at these pictures and then staring at my GT and holding it, which I like very much :stuck_out_tongue: Is the MF03 battery carrier tube 8 or 12 cell? Because 12 would be awesome! Sorry, overkill I know. Being a little more serious now, will the MF03 be offered in that cool bark green color with the black bezel? This is going to be one amazing illuminator isn’t it!!!

From what i see, it’s going to be 8 cells i guess

I’m guessing those lights are coming out real soon cause the wait is killing me. I like the looks so far. I’ve been holding items around the house trying to get a perspective on the tubes diameter. But alas I don’t think his hands are Texas sized because by the time I get the grip to match the pictures, I’m into quad set up well past a thick tube with 18650’s. Would be nice in 20700/21700 format but probably just a dream.

Will the battery tube / carriers allow for a “Double Dong” a.k.a. “Darth Maul” configuration?

After I catch up with work I’ll post some pics of my MF-01 / MF-02 FrankenLight.

Frankenlight? I like the sound of that :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

name taken

search it on blf ;)

6S/2P battery carrier would make very good regulated Buck drivers possible, there are very powerful buck chips availiable and pretty awesome inductors

Oh god… It looks like somebody hit your Frankenlight with a fugly stick.

Nice beamshots though.

How well did the laptop heatpipe work?

My first DIY light was a 50W / 5,000 lumen space heater that I occasionally used as an inappropriate bicycle light. The little guy was about 10W / 1,000 lumens. Not bad for 2011.

teaser time!

Are the 70.2 using reflectors or tir optics? I can’t really tell from the picture.

Looks like reflectors to me.

Looks great! Somewhat liking these multi emitter designs.
