Haikelite MT09R Test/Review Beam video footage.

the DT70 can be purchased for $149, just saying.

Great video, Terry, very thorough and helpful. Thanks for all the work you are putting into this group buy. Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these.

Yes it can but that is dealer cost... For a retailer to give up profit and take a loss on shipping tella people that no one will buy it otherwise.

Think about it for a minute if customers were paying retail price do you think they would drop it to dealer cost. If customers were buying them at a 20 percent mark up they would not drop it that low. They would sell them at the profitable prices.

Please do not ever believe that a retailer is selling anything at a price all the way down to their cost because they like us or want to give us a great deal. They do that because if they can get back what they paid for them they can biy more of another product that is profitable.

Selling any brand at dealer cost will ruin the market for the retailer and the brand. If they aree priced that low it is hoping they can unload them.

You're welcome I think it's loads of fun lol

The video looks good. I like the light… I dont care about throw, more interested in the big flood. Looking forward to your next video with the camera upgrade…

Thanks!

When do they start shipping the light?

Let me know so I can make payment

The group buy ends either when 300 orders are complete or January 31st whichever comes first...

How do you know $149 is cost price for the DT70?
Did a dealer tell you?

No.. I have had my retail license for several years... When the first new models of the Imalents came out I submitted my credentials and they sent me a price list...

While I would never just say what the exact amount would be (that is just something retailers don't do) it is not like it is classified information, it's just kind of an unwritten rule not to go out giving people prices..

What I can say is that price is not even close to Imalent suggested retail price. The company selling at that price would be lucky to break even after shipping,, Maybe depending on how many they purchased and possibly got an extra 10 percent break... At best they would only make a few dollars.

Here are a couple of shots I took just after dark...

This one is pretty cool. I am about 70 yards away from that.

That flood is great. You may have me sold… I’m going to hold out for your new video though…

I am really curious how much better the video will be...For what that camera costs it better be 10 times as good lol.

I think the more you see the more you will like it.

I also intended to mention to notice where I have the light pointed. In the first picture you can see that I have it pointed on the ground about 30 feet from the wall I wanted to light up. The spot is on the ground and it still lit up that entire area.

Same in the second picture, look at the beam I have it pointed above the building and again it still lit up everything you see.

I like this light a lot...

Thanks for the reviews… we should be thanksful with the 15000 lumen and 90k lux for the stock pop can light… 2 years ago, pop can light came in 7000 lumen and 30k lux, unless you buy the modded version. ( still 12000 lumen / 60k lux with the modded light)…

I cant complain…

I know I’m almost drooling in anticipation at trying it for the first time!

Terry,
If you have a chance, could you upload some photos of the light in hand? Or maybe with some common objects in the photo? Trying to get a grip (pun intended) on the ergonomics of the light. As I mentioned earlier, I love the idea of small form/big performance, and trying to decide if this fits the bill. I did see the opening of your video, which has some “in hand” shots.
Thanks!

Terry, when you receive the XHP35 version , please compare side by side with 70.2
I am sure you will do, thanks.

You can count on that... Each one will have their own uses. I am more than sure that the 35 high will out throw the 70.2 version and a lot of people want that extra throw over total lumen output. Others want a little of both. I believe that the 70.2 version will be a better choice for someone looking for a light that does both throw and still cover a pretty wide area with intense light.

The 35 high will be the customers that want a much tighter and much farther throwing light. Still enough power and light output to light up a smaller area at long distances. 600 meters for the 35 high should be a walk in the park.

Me I can never choose. I always end up finding some excuse that I need both when models like this come out LOL..

Any experience with the Astrolux MF-01? How does the 70.2 compare?

Not really much to compare... The Astrolux is a very bright light it would be better compared to the MT03. Both are massive flooders. The latest version of the MT03 using a TA style driver and 12k lumen output.

Honestly I would need an Astrolux here to compare the two.

To compare it to the MT09R I just can't think of but 1 outcome. The Astrolux would have much wider beam but much shorter. The MT09R with it's extra power and mucj better throw with 90000 candela verses a out 54000 candela.

Just 2 different types of lights.

I have an MT03 here but BangGood shipped it to me with a bad driver. I have a driver on the way, once I install the correct driver I would love to have a chance to do side by side comparison of the 2.
