600 meters??? Have the specs on the XHP35HI version been downgraded since it was announced on the original feeler page as being “The throw of triple 35-Hi is over 300 000 cd, over 1000 meter distance, with 7500 lumens.” at HaikeLite MT09R Group buy Feeler(First Beam Shots)12-29-2017
Read the entire context of the message... I am comparing it to the 70.2 version or any other light that has a 600 meter est. throwing range.
And I have not yet tested the 35 high myself so the calculated distance could be a bit lower or higher... I will know for sure when the sample arrives.
I’m really interested in the Flood performance of the MT09R XHP70.2 compared to the Astrolux MF01, Noctigon M43, and Haikelite MT03. I want a powerful flood light.
No risk no fun! And for 108$ its quit a good deal. Maybe were not getting the full 7500 lumen, but 6500 lumen should be possible. But im also quit interested in Terry’s review and the first live beamshots/videos.
If it does not hit 8k lumen this will be the first light from Haikelite that I will have reviewed. tested or just owned that did not make it's claimed output level.
And the deal is a very good deal... You are not going to see these 3 months from now marked down to dealer cost... I never blame anyone for waiting to see first and my sample is on the way and should arrive one day this week hopefully. If not then very early next week.
Yesterday when I posted the total number of lights left on the group buy there were only about 150 left... Hope fully it is enough to give everyone time..
Hm, but im still a bit sceptical about those 7500 lumens. Dont get me wrong, my order has already been placed for the XHP35 variant, but i havent seen any supplier yet delivering a flashlight with XHP35 and 2500 lumens. 2200 is more likely, which would make 6600 lumens total.
But everything is just speculation until you can do a measurement. I would really like to be wrong here!
EDIT: Ok, just to proof myself wrong, Acebeam K70 and Manker MK35 f.e. have more thank 2500 lumens, but they are single LED lights, not triple like the MT09R.
The same was said about the 70.2 version and not only did it make the 15k mark it surpassed it at 16k... Remember the TA style driver so it is going to be driven almost as well as most aftermarket modded lights.
For the XHP70.2 - what is the stepdown after the 55°C / or a minute later - 5000lm or 1700lm? I mean - what is the sustainable lumen level for a longer period of time?
I am not sure exactly what the output is at the step down... I can tell you that the few times I remember it stepping down it was not a lot of difference. Maybe between 7k to 10k.. And even at step down you can kick it right back to turbo and continue to do that until the batteries are depleted or the heat is simply too hot to hold..
I forget which group mode it is but, one of them sets the light to top out at 5k lumen.... This was added for muggles and I do know that you can run it at that output continually...
