Thanks for the info! I was hard to navigate/locate post that had the update.
I’ve been thinking about this light, but design plays a big part in my purchase decisions, guess I’ll wait until it’s more definite
Same, the bottom shiny milled version looks absolutely top notch to me.
I do not think I would have marked myself interested if it looked different from that version, which was the initial one.
I’m still going to follow here of course as anything could arise.
Same, but still watching in case they go back to a more appealing design.
On a normal lamp with contact issues you normaly sand the ends, lube them and you you are fine.
What about this lamp? Sanding one end seems bad.
I guess conductive lube on the ends is also a bad idea. Any lube recommendations?
Or how much fidelity is necessary to troubleshoot and assamble it?
Is it a finicky light?
Major brand lights (Fenix, Acebeam, Klarus) have been using nested tubes like this for a while to enable an e-switch in the tail (usually ill-used for instant strobe) and/or USB charging without turning on the tailswitch. Mine have been trouble-free.

how neat would it be if this light used 3 carefully selected tints to emit a near perfect output?
I like how my tint-mixed quads turned out. I haven’t gotten a triple to look quite right though.
It should be doable with XP-L HI and a frostic optic, but it’d probably be easier with three high-CRI Nichia 219c emitters instead, since they’re less tinted to begin with. Perhaps 4000K, 4500K, and 5000K. Together they should look pretty good, but I haven’t tried it.
I’m not sure if 10511 is frosted enough to make the tint-mixed result look good. It might be necessary to use 10508 or 10509, but that’d make it a lot floodier. 10511 might be okay if we don’t mind having a few different colors of mild artifacts.
Wow mixing the Nichia 219c tints would be so awesome! I would love to see that in action and would be nice if we have the option to add money for custom features similar to how the Emisar D4s are sold.
I don’t expect tint-mixing to happen. It’s not really in the Overton window yet, and it would mean tripling Lumintop’s investment. Instead of a single reel of 3000 emitters (1000 lights), it would mean committing to three reels of 3000 each, or 3000 total lights.
Even if Lumintop wanted to make three times as many units, they’d probably just offer it in three different flavors.
We also posted our impressions here but if you’re not following every post you don’t really have any chance of finding it since the topic here receives so many more replies. And unfortunately, it’s not possible to update the original post by the miller.
Anyway, this week or next week we’ll send our feedback to Lt and then we wait until the next prototype is ready.
You could create a ‘Team account’, as was done in the BLT GT thread; and ask sb to change the original post ownership from the miller to the ‘Team account’. That way the OP (original post) could be updated with the needed information.
It worked well in the GT thread once it was done.

After following the GT thread until I got mine, I totally forgot about this light, please sign me up for one if there are still spots available…
Thanks!
I still don’t see my username on the interested party list… Am I supposed to do something different than simply stating I’m interested?

When The Miller gets back, could I have a second unit added? I believe I am number 58 on the list.

It’s being revised.

If I remember right, the prototype was the wrong anodising and the plan is to have clear anodising so it will be shiny like the bottom pic.
Yep, Shiny version is the most beautifull one !
I don’t care about design.
I just want it bright and robust.
Is it too late to join the list? If not, please include me
same here, and small size factor, if the lenght keept around same as proto type it would be great if not still nice.
