Just received my GT, does anyone else have centering issues with their LED? The hole in the black centering ring is much larger than the square of the xhp35hi, which is clearly much closer to one side of that ring compared to the other.

Can you share a picture of that?

Received mine too , the led seems pretty centered for me. FedEx asked me what time to deliver and i said 6-8pm but they came at 12pm anyway lol, luckily my dad was at home.

I’ve just received my GT today. There is LED centering issues with my copy too….

If the customs officer would believe that value, sure. But would you take it for true ? German customs asked me for the PayPal transaction, in many cases they don’t trust in chinese invoices - which is totally understandable for me.

European customs only accept the real payment invoice,once they stop it and doubt about it, there is no other way but showing PayPal invoice

DHL in Europe is expensive, but fast I hope ;).

I´ve changed registered to DHL (I hope so :wink: ), also because I have only one PayPal bill for customs.
custom office next to me always would like to see the PayPal bill.

Registered Mail, two packages, could be a problem for me and customs with only one PayPal bill.
Worst case paying twice the price (VAT), each 19% of $111 would be $42.

So I think it´s easier, faster and not much more expensive with DHL, also DHL delivers the package to the front door.
Driving to custom office (20km) is about 1-2 hours (incl. waiting time), petrol allowance…

So I hope, switching to DHL worked, and I´ll receive my BLF GT soon.

Seems like the battery carriers are to long. I can’t get a
Complete seal on the tail cap when carriers are in. Does anyone else have this issue?

customs and DHL ... a nightmare sometimes

i paid 50€ for correctly declared 10 USD spareparts (“there is no free shipping! all chinese are liars! i set a value as i like!!“)

i paid nothing on correctly 300 usd lights (“naah - no time!“ put a tax-free-sticker on top of the value)

but -of course- i did pay less than expected many times... ;)

so overall i am still happy :D

This has changed at least in Finland. You just tell DHL that you want to do the customs processing yourself (self clearance, itsetullaus) and they’ll send the required information (warehouse ID, AREX MRN number etc). This will result in zero processing/administration fees.

Can someone tell us more regarding GT for NASA. Did NASA ordered this FL? Or was sent to nasa free of charge?
Will they use it on next mission to moon or mars? :smiley:

Yes this is changed lately, but they still try to push you pay processing if you dont specifically ask DIY processing.

Yes,I agree that it is so.They charge enormous sums.But not only them,but also the other courier companies,ie UPS etc.

Off-centered LED. Wondering why the hole in the centering ring is so much larger than the LED, does that not defeat it’s purpose.

I’m thinking that loosening and retightening the head might solve this, but I cannot get into the head, it’s on to tight, any suggestions?
The tailcap ring is also really tight, and someone a few pages back suggested it might be due to a pinched o-ring, but I am unable to unscrew the piece under the lumintop logo too.

I’m on the edge of putting a claim in anyway to protect myself. The team may ‘know’ Neal, but I’m afraid don’t - at least not enough to potentially lose $111 in some mix up or something.
Your comment would suggest there is a ‘need’ to put a claim in, like there would be no chance of our money back from Neal ?

Edit - all joking aside, maybe someone needs to sort something out soon regarding this - if our pay date goes past the point of no return with paypal, who is going to cover it if something goes wrong? (that’s a big ‘if’ i know, but it is there)
This in no way being nasty or anything like, certainly it is not a moan at the fantastic team (who work their socks off, thank you) - it is purely just to protect our money - which I assume you would all understand.

I have the same feeling but have patience and wait before my paypal guarantee expires then I wiil ask for the refund!!!
