[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

The default value for the DHL packages is $25 USD.

The default value of each registered mail package is $14.99 USD.

The Google document in post #1 (Customs Declaration Survey) is for people who would like to set their own values on their own packages.

I don’t know what happened in Bozlight29’s case. He asked that his be changed to $22, but it got changed to $30 instead. More investigation is needed to see what went wrong here.

I sent email to Neal asking him if my flashlight was sent to me (no. 116 on the list).

If he will not reply in few days (most likely) I will probably open paypal dispute. I just want information if flashligh was sent or not.
If he can’t provide this info, paypal dispute will be open. I paid on 2.12.17, today we are 23.1. and still no info if and when GT will arrive.

The problem is also that many which are on the list much later 600, 700, 800+ already got FL.

My patient is running out - 150+ $ (cells included) is not small amount for me.

That “Control F” thing to search for you name in the list is a neat trick… Vesture has 2 more lights with his name on them still!!!

Wow :+1:

I would take it from you if you dont want it

There is no need to open a PayPal dispute. Just do what TA (Texas_Ace) posted earlier this morning…… Ask for a refund. He said they would be more than happy to give it to anyone who wanted one.

Thank you for info.
Will wait for few more days and then decide…

My pleasure.

Received tracking info last week. GT should be arriving sometime today! I feel like a little kid!

Although I have been here for a short time, I will allow myself some attention: are the BLF rules? Are. Why are there no group purchasing rules? Why are those who paid many months ago still waiting? If there is no control over the way Lumintop sends it, I understand. Each company has its own internal policy. I believe that certain rules can be agreed together, since we are voting on what shade the diode should have. It has no effect on many factors. That’s clear, but any general rules can be accepted. As for me, I can wait and half a year because I am 1514. Ok. I suggest setting and voting on group purchasing rules.

After receiving PM from TA, I feel little more confident that things will sort out for my order…
:+1:

Thanks TA

I have not even received my PM yet. I guess I will have BLF GT by Christmas. I am ok with the long wait. I rather have a perfect BLF GT instead of a BLF GT with problems.

Pls can you inform me when I decide to ask for refund how to get this done?

I am not going to speculate on that answer.
You will have to wait for TA to respond. He can tell you the proper procedure & any details.

I ran across a 2 piece set of rubber strap wrenches for $5 at my local Northern Tool store.

I removed the battery tube and the side switch ring and clamped them lightly in my vice using some thick leather welding gloves to provide cushion.

I made sure to loosen the bezel before loosening the upper head as it’s easiest.

The head was actually tighter than the bezel in my case, but I got them both loose. I hope this helps someone.

Ps, The bezel has 2 o-rings. The one on the side, below the threads, is well lubed, but the one between the glass and bezel is dry. I think this is the one making it so hard to loosen. I added a bit of lube between the bezel and o-ring and this seems to help some. I tightened them back up hand tight.

The main problem is lack of information.

I only need info when FL will be sent.

I guess this is not important for lumnitop, Neal

Nice ’tutorial’ Jason!!! … :+1: … Good info.

Often do these things barefoot do you Jason??

It’s a thing we learn in the deep South G0OSE, the floor is hard and prone to damage the light if it falls. This way, we can jab a bare foot under it and keep the concrete from denting it if it falls.
