I also have this light and the onboard charging is already spazzing. Ive had the light just months.
The red indicator light never turns off while its charging :person_facepalming:
I dont dare charge the battery within the light
After so many attempts of trying to buy a Lii500, I managed to get it on 10th Jan.
Today as I've seen it wasn't already shipped, I clicked the button ship it faster. So GB just refunded me.
Funny thing 1: Nice behaviour GB when you sold things "on promo".
Funny thing 2: It wasn't for me, and i bought it in USD instead of EURO (it's better to buy directly in USD because of the exchange rate ). Now i have to refund the person who paid me. But...
Funny thing 3: I've lost some (little) money in this process...because of the exchange EUR/USD, now i've lost about 75 $c, which is obviously not so much but still it's not "karma-right" that me, doing a favour to someone else, has to lose out money because of this back and forth process. Imagine if i had to buy a DX80 , how much money would i have lost in this, maybe 15 USD, lost for nothing.
Funny thing 4: now i'm back in business to buy the lii500 on sale, which will be a pain ...again, and also since they now have batteries coming along and not a proper charger, i have to fond something quickly.

Can’t excuse GB’s behavior refunding without communications first, but the whole exchange rate loss is completely separate from them. It would be the same with any other vendor, as they refunded the exact same amount in the same currency. You chose to conduct the transaction in foreign currency because of favorable rates, but in this case it backfired. If it had worked out in your favor would you have complained or offered to refund the excess back to GB? Really it’s the banks that got you in this case.
Yes of course I agree on this. That's because i called the whole post Considerations and not mega rant... I just think that they should just ask... Then I had preferred all the time to wait more... I consider that every time a decision about money has to be taken... The buyer should be involved... Because each time, for many reasons , could be different for him... Just this. Of course if I payed 17 usd and the they refund 17usd they are perfect financially speaking.
Just all be aware that this situation of the refund after 20 days could happen... Unpredictably
