The dial indicator i received a few days ago from aliexpress didn’t work, not surprising after opening it and having a look, i’ll see if i can make a bushing to fix it :person_facepalming:
As l posted earlier, l think OnePlus’ Dash charging is better for the battery than the usual lower rates. As l pointed out earlier, my battery gets more hot using the ‘normal’ rates than the Dash charging technology in my OnePlus.
l tried the lower, slower charging rates thinking it should be better but because the Dash charging technique has a special circuitry that routes back the heat to the psu, only the psu gets hot.
ln fact, l notice my battery’s performance is as good as when l first started using my phone, going into its 3rd year.
One more personal technique of mine to prolong my battery’s cycle life is to avoid having the battery fully charged the whole night and instead just charge it the next morning instead since it doesn’t take long to charge it 80% using the oem Dash charging anyway.
It’s a well-known fact that a high SOC (state-of-charge) is detrimental to lithium-ions.
…and more detrimental is high heat situations.
Today I received a 15” enamelled Paella pan. It’s good for up to eight people. Receiving some guests next week, and Paella is on the menu. Just like with flashlights you really need to have this in your hands to understand the size of it. It’s just a really nice size, and can imagine looking all festive once it’s filled with beautiful yellow rice. I think it’s also nice that we can all share from one pan instead of two.
