BLF GT custom handle bracket kit. (DBCustom approved. Post #121)

Another note. Be on the lookout for a giveaway of the V1 prototype. I should get a chance to make a post for it later this evening.

Thank you very much

Now you just need to find room on it for a quick detach swivel and 2nd tripod fitting to replace the one you are using for the handle! (mostly kidding)

That’s in the works right after I get the heated grip and massage options worked out. Lol.

So a heavy copper plug that connects directly to the MCPCB, smart!

I’ll update the OP with more pics over the weekend. It’s friday evening and I’m going out for a few beers.

Looking good!!! Enjoy the cool ones…. . :+1:

Looking good Tbc.

Nice!! :+1:
Count me in. One for sure.
Possibly two

This looks like a nice utilitarian design. Button accessibility is a very nice feature.

Have you considered adding a partial-depth cut (maybe need a mill instead of waterjet?) on either side of the curved beam section, tapered off before the ends to keep the mounting features intact? It would give the beam a t-shaped cross-section with the cross of the t towards the light. That would remove a bunch of material and keep most of its strength. Maybe also give it a more finished look, depending on taste.

What’s the purpose of the short link with countersunk holes? So you can adjust the position of the handle relative to the light?

ETA: larger inside corner radii leading up to the boss with the counterbore where you screw to the light might look a little sleaker.

Profiling is 100% not happening.

The short link attaches to the GT mounting bracket and a handle or grip would mount to it like the 5/8” bar did on V1. Its countersunk on both sides for a 1/4-20 flat head socket screw, making it ambidextrous and adjustable.

And then he calls me out on the part I cheated on… The boss made it easy for me to make the mounting hole for the first one. I have a setup part now so that could be cleaned up for sure. A taper with a .750” radius top and bottom would look good I think.

Attractant.

Nectar of the flower to the bee.

I should probably test fit this thing with the V1 “grip” before it gets sent off to gi.lumens in the morning. At this point I can only assume the bracket fits the light…

Wow…… I think you nailed it!! . :+1:

Nice !!!

Got the samples in today, pretty dang cool! The access to the switch is perfect, or can be easily tweaked to suit ya…

Took too many pictures, bear with me…

These were apparently tumbled after being finished and it’s a nice look, I lined the inside of the bracket with a strip of black electrical tape, shaved the tape off on the sides to make it match the bracket, it fits on snug and protects the anodizing. All in all very well done and extremely useful.

I have some Titanium tubing I may use to make another handle, thread inside for a plug and thread the plug for the mount, should work and be strong and light weight.

Highly recommend this one, robust and plenty strong enough to not have to worry about.

Looking very good TBC…… :+1:

Wow! Nice work, TBC! :+1:

I like the easy switch access, and the ability to tweak the handle side to side. Great solution to suit righties and lefties.

Excellent pics, Dale! And plenty of them!

That’s why you send stuff to a professional photographer… yes they were tumbled Dale but not nearly as long as I would have liked.

TBC, what do you think, are these necessary to aid locking position of the handle and short wishbone?
Pinning with a stainless roll pin after adjusted :+1:
