Honestly, there's no standard yardstick for label/wrap specifications, and it is anyway wise not to blindly believe in them.

Bench test results I'll wait for.

Cheers ^:)

When can we get some independent tests? I really wonder if it’s the same cell as Shockli which was measured >5900 mAh at low currents…

Amazing price at NKON - almost half of other vendors! :+1:
I’ll probably get a couple, just because. :person_facepalming:

Thanks all for flagging these up and providing links.

I’ve just ordered four of the protected version from NKON  I’ve also added them to HKJ’s review request thread - it might save him a little money if he was planning to test them anyway:

Any BLF review of cells?

Can’t find any test of the new one, but there are several of the older ones. They score good on capacity but less on drain (10A).

they should work in convoy l6 right? Hard to tell if they are flat tops or not.

They look to be ‘raised top’ and may make contact in serial, but if they don’t a small magnet between them should do.
I ordered two unprotected.

IF this is PLB 55A cell then you can get the unprotected variant for less from Shockli.

A liitokala successor?

That’s with the default test setting of 500mA. Considering the Opus is known to over estimate capacity it would put those cells at about 5700/5800mAh i’d guess.

I can confirm they work in serial.

HKJ got 5841 mAh down to 2.8V from Shockli 5500 mAh. You see more down to 2.9V (that’s what I see here ). So it may actually be a different cell.

I just did a quick ceiling bounce test against a few other 26650 cells i have around, using a direct drive light, and i cant measure much gain compared to a Liitokala 50A. I was hoping for a little bump… :frowning:

I bought four of the protected version from NKON; all four arrived in good condition at 3.86V. Haven’t tested them yet, but there’s a Convoy BD01 due in soon

The protected version is flat top, and it’s practically dead flat, so I doubt they’d make a reliable connection in series. All of my stuff is single cell, though, so I can’t try it and report with certainty.

are they raised a bit or flat tops the protected?

This is the version I bought. The photo shows the flat top:
